Weekly Recap #2 August + Steam news :'(

This week, we finished the Lucky Box, where you'll randomly get one of your fellow interns!

Well, this is basically how we prepare the illustrations before turning them into animations.

And yes... this confirms that something is going to happen with Ashley. 👀 I don't want to give away any unnecessary spoilers, so I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

On the other hand, here's a little more progress on Johana!

For those who haven't met her yet, you can find her in the game's prologue at the vending machine, where you first encounter her. If you happened to give her something there, you might remember her!

I also wanted to show you guys how much some CGs can change from the initial sketch to the cleaned-up lineart (the image on the right).

Those of you who've been following us since the beginning might recognize her. She was removed from the latest versions, but her lore is still part of the game.

If you're wondering why I haven't been showing screenshots of the game with everything implemented yet... well, that's because our beloved programmer can't really put everything together until I finish all the CGs and visual assets.

And if you're part of the 99% who weren't wondering about that and somehow still made it this far... what comes next is probably going to hurt you just as much as it hurt us. I think.

Steam News :'(

I'll get straight to the point. After the review, Steam rejected Eric Dick and its Demo due to certain scenes that, according to their review, don't comply with their policies.

I'm sharing a screenshot of their message so you can see exactly what they said without me paraphrasing anything.

It's honestly pretty disappointing after all the work we've put into the project, especially since getting Eric Dick onto Steam was our main goal.

But one thing is clear:

We're not abandoning the game.

We'll keep working on it and looking for alternatives, so any ideas or suggestions are welcome!
