Openable Window that you can sit on!
Hello! I hope you're doing amazing!
I wanted to make a fully functional window that opens and closes and then things kind of escalated because once I start, I don't know when to stop. While it's open you get an interaction that lets you 'Sit' and relax on it. You can read a book and enjoy the view outside, play games on your phone or video call someone. Basically, anything you'd be able to do on a chair.
When the window is closed, that interaction disappears. Obviously.
Opening this window will also cool your sim down.
IMPORTANT!
1. You need the High School Years Expansion Pack
2. When you place the window, do not raise it or your sims won't be able to sit on it.
3. Oh and when you try to place it, it does this:
Just ignore it and place it like you would normally.

not sure if this is a weird bug or not but when this mod is in my game it completely breaks the original window rendering it unusable
hi - just to let you know that this is stopping the Highschool Years window from being accessible!
this mod currently breaks the HSY window interaction, making it not possible to "sneak out" or use the window. I had friends test it and it made the HSY window always have an error when trying to use it!

Hi! I really love ur mod, and that's exactly what i was looking for in Sims 4 for a long time. But i noticed, that it conflicts with Lot51 - "Come Thru Thy Window" mod. When i installed ur mod, i started getting resets for any interactions from "Come Thru Thy Window" and i also errors about darker_fairies.py (it's from Basemental Drugs script). Honestly, i dunno why, because i looked into ur mod and i saw no reasons for any conflicts, because it has no overrides inside. But i think, it's a right thing to let u know about it. ❤️ P.S. Speaking of Lot51 mods and seasons itself, it'd be great if ur windows worked with them too. I was about to suggest lot51 in his discord to add a support for ur mod, because it'd give a pretty good realism into the game.
Hello! thanks for telling me, however, they do not conflict. The window is a completely standalone piece of cc. Now, as far as adding the ability to sneak out and in, which is what lot51's mod does, I don't know if it's possible. You see, the window is in a perpetual state of animation so I don't think I could integrate that feature. If it's possible it's way beyond my knowledge. Thanks again! <3

Dear, I want to say that I pointed the window indoors, but still don't have any choice to sit on it, only the option of normal high school life to slip out. Also, my situation is that I installed the Lot51 invite friend mod, I heard there is no conflict? Also, the windows are installed outside the second floor with a balcony and a sofa next to them. Does this mean that there are obstacles affecting them?
hello! This means you are using the wrong window. The openable window by me has 'Hiole' on the thumbnail. The one you are using is the one from High School years

Hello, you need to flip it in build mode so the arrow faces indoors. Your sims can't access it otherwise

Hi! I'm not entirely sure, but it shouldn't as it doesn't override the in-game window. It does its own thing. But if you test it out, do let me know
hi, i'm not exactly sure why, but i'm pretty sure this is making the regular high school years window not work in my game? like my sims can't sneak in/out of it. i got an mccc exception after trying to make one of my sims climb through a window and it said it had something to do with this
Hi! This mod has custom tuning and does its own thing without relying on EA or overriding anything. I did if for your peace of mind and mine, knowing that everything I post is as solid as can be. So, it is not this mod. Probably a bug from EA if I had to guess.

Hi! Of course it can! With an old update, about a year ago they gave us the ability to change windows in apartments in san myshuno. So you can place it in apartments if you want!

Hi! It works only with this window as the in game windows are not meant to open or to animate in any way.

Hi, so I tried your mod the window sitting but no matter where and how I put the window on the wall my sim will not sit. She walks to the window like she’s about to but doesn’t sit the action cancels
Hi! just place it on the wall and turn it until the green footprint arrow points towards the inside of the house. That is probably why the interaction gets canceled; your sim cannot access it.
