I love to cook and usually go to Pinterest for recipe inspiration. So I thought, I should make an app where my sims can go and find cool, new and yummy recipes on their phone!
In the 'Recipe Reader App' you'll find:
An option to 'Browse Recipes for Inspiration' (as seen above) which will give your sims an inspired buff and whims that relate to cooking.
An option to 'Cook Cozy Recipes' where you can choose what you are going to make.
An option to 'Make Drink Recipes' straight from the fridge.
A new option (updated on February 4th) to 'Make Mug Recipes' in the microwave.
When you click on Cook Cozy Recipes, you will see 11 recipes that require the appropriate ingredients to make. To purchase these ingredients easily, I have created another mod that lets you go grocery shopping.
This food also has calories. Salads have a negative calorie count, so your sim will lose weight when eating them.
These recipes do not require any of the appliances that came with the 'Home Chef Hustle' pack. Everything can be cooked using a regular stove.
The Recipes:
2 Salad Options: Arugula Salad with Figs and Feta Cheese and Green Salad with Avocados, Almonds and Goat Cheese. Because salads don't have to be boring.
2 Soup Options: Creamy Potato and Bacon Soup and Chicken Dumpling Soup. Yum.
2 Dessert Options: Apple and Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies that can be decorated with glaze for free and Chocolate and Cherry Muffins.
2 Breakfast Options: Wholewheat Apple Spiced Pancakes and Yogurt and Banana Breakfast Bowl.
3 Favorites of mine: Cheesy Deep Dish Pepperoni Pizza, Baked Lasagna with Fresh Tomato Sauce and Parmesan and Spaghetti Bolognese.
All the recipes have the appropriate tags that tell you if the dish has meat, or lactose for example.
IMPORTANT!
You need the XML Injector for the app to show on your phone. You can find it here.
If the recipes are greyed out even though you have the ingredients, deselect the "Use Prepped Ingredients Option" that came with the 'Home Chef Hustle' pack as seen above.
Update: Fixed an issue with plates reverting to original EA (white)
I've made a few adjustments and the Recipe Reader App is now Base Game Compatible. However, some of the base recipes may require 'Get to Work'.
I made this mod in such a way that it is very unlikely to break with any game patches. I made it over two years ago and it has never broken. Of course I will always check it just in case.

Hi! You don't need both but if you don't download the base recipes, you will have no recipe options (unless you have downloaded my recipes from other months). I hope this helps! x
can any of the fruit be planted?
Hello! This mod allows you to cook custom recipes that can be made with in game, EA ingredients. Since they are EA, the ingredients (fruit and veggies) can be planted.
Is this know to be incompatible with any other food mods?
Hi! This mod does its own thing and doesn't rely on other mods apart from xml injector so I don't see how it would be incompatible with other food mods.

Hi! Aww glad to hear you like the recipes! Yes, everything works the way it should. No need to update it. For future reference, I've made this mod in such a way that it's very unlikely to break so it's generally safe to leave in your mods folder even after an update/patch.
Hello, I just want to let you know I found some issues. I didnt try all the recipes, but for example my sim made lasagna, and at the final stage of eating, before washing the plate, it suddenly turned white. Also, 8 serving portion of lasagna looks half empty after just 1 portion, and it should look half empty after 4 portions.
Hi! Thank you for bringing these to my attention! I checked the lasagna and the mesh seems to have no issues. It just changes to half full after grabbing a serving. As for the plate, it just reverts to the original EA plate after your sim finishes the meal, in all recipes I have recolored the plates for. This is something I can fix so I'll try to update soon
When i deselect use prepped ingredients i still cant make any of the foods. Its all greyed out. It will only let me select them if I have the required ingredients

Yeap, as I mention in the post, I have had these mods ready for over a year and they've survived everything so it's very unlikely that they'll break.
I thought the 3 New Drink Recipes were available to download Oct 12 but it still show in Early Access?

I love how you've incorporated seasonal recipes and flavors too--such a wonderful idea! :) I love food mods for my sims (I love to cook in real life so I enjoy having lots of recipes for my sims to do so as well) and I'm so excited for this mod and future recipes :)

I found your patreon page thanks to Fantazya on yt and I am very happy I did. This mod is awesome and I need to say that besides Brazenlotus, only your food looks like it is from the game, when I put it next to original sims dishes, I dont see a difference which is a huge thing for me! Keep up the good work! For now, the only bug that I found is that when I click on "make a drink" nothing happens. Do you accept some suggestions regarding recipes? :)
Hello! It's not a bug! I mention in the description that the 'make drink recipes' does nothing for now, but on the 12th of October, I will be adding the drink recipes and you can try them as well.
