Fang Fatale

You can’t get through spooky season without a mention of the OG herself, Vampirella.  And while she definitely puts the "jugs" in "jugular," the story is that she was actually created to offset the male-dominated characters that dominated the horror comics at the time.  Female empowerment was soooo much better in the 60s. In fact, while Frazetta did the original sketches, it was said he was taking direction from fellow artist and feminist activist Trina Robbins. She later said all she got from the collaboration was a lifetime subscription to the magazine. That bites.
