The Checkup

She went to the doctor because the swelling had not stopped all morning.

At first, she had tried to ignore it. She told herself it was just soreness, maybe a reaction to something, maybe her body playing tricks on her. But every time she looked down, her chest looked fuller than it had a few minutes before. Her top kept pulling tighter. Her posture kept changing. The weight kept building.

By the time she reached the exam room, she was trying hard to act normal.

The doctor asked her to stand sideways for a better look. She placed one hand on her lower back, partly for support and partly because the new weight was making her lean forward. She gave a nervous little smile, like she was embarrassed to even explain it.

“It started small,” she said. “Just pressure. Then it got heavier. And now… it won’t stop.”

The doctor began checking her over, asking routine questions, trying to stay professional. But even while they talked, her top stretched tighter across her chest. The fabric smoothed out, pulling across the swelling curve like it was fighting to keep up.

She noticed the doctor pause.

Then she felt it.

A deep, warm pressure bloomed inside her chest.

Her breath caught. Her hand pressed harder against her back. She looked down just as another growth spurt began.

Right there in the exam room, in front of the doctor, her chest started swelling again.

It was slow at first, a steady outward push that made the fabric strain. Then it became impossible to pretend nothing was happening. Her body shifted under the weight. Her shoulders pulled back. Her lips parted as she tried to stay still, embarrassed and overwhelmed, but unable to stop watching herself grow.

The doctor stepped closer, stunned but focused.

“Stay still,” the doctor said. “I need to see how fast it’s happening.”

She nodded, but her face flushed. The pressure was frightening, but not painful. It was tight, heavy, and strangely intense, like her body was reacting to being watched. The more attention the doctor gave her, the more aware she became of every inch of growth.

Her chest pushed farther out.

The room felt too quiet.

She tried to laugh it off, but her voice came out breathy.

“This is so embarrassing…”

The doctor kept taking notes, but even they seemed surprised now. The swelling was no longer subtle. Her top was stretched to its limit, and she had to lean back slightly just to balance herself.

Another pulse hit.

She gasped and grabbed her lower back again.

The doctor asked if it hurt.

She shook her head quickly, eyes wide, still staring down at herself.

“No… it’s just… it feels like it’s still filling.”

The growth slowed for a moment, leaving her standing there, huge, heavy, and stunned in the bright clean office. She looked completely caught between panic and reluctant fascination, as if part of her wanted help and another part could not believe what her body was doing.

Then her expression changed.

She felt another wave starting.

Her eyes lifted toward the doctor, nervous and breathless.

“Doctor…” she whispered, “it’s happening again.”

Perhaps have it so it tears the shirt apart from swelling so much?
