One Piece Too Sweet
She hadn’t meant to steal it.
The field trip had already been weird enough—some experimental food lab tucked away behind campus, all polished floors and locked glass displays. The guide was droning on about “flavor engineering” and “prototype confectionery,” but her eyes had locked onto one thing: a small, glossy piece of gum sitting alone under a spotlight. It shimmered slightly, almost pulsing with color, like it wanted to be taken. She lingered behind the group just long enough, tail flicking nervously, then slipped it into her pocket with a quick glance over her shoulder.
Back in the dorm later, curiosity won. She sat on her bed, hoodie slightly riding up as she turned the gum over in her fingers. “Just a taste,” she muttered, popping it into her mouth. Instantly—sweetness. Not normal sweetness, but layered, rich, perfect. Her eyes widened as flavors unfolded one after another, impossibly vivid. “Okay… wow…” she mumbled, cheeks flushing as she kept chewing. It was too good. Way too good.
Then came the pressure.
At first, it was subtle—a strange fullness low in her stomach, like she’d had a big drink too fast. She shifted, ears twitching. “That’s… weird.” But the gum kept releasing flavor, thicker now, almost syrupy. Her body reacted before her brain caught up. The fullness grew, spreading outward, her hoodie tightening slightly as her midsection began to swell. She froze, one hand pressing against herself as the pressure built. “No, no, no—this isn’t right…”
She tried to spit it out.
But she couldn’t.
Her jaw moved, still chewing, still pulling more of that addictive, overwhelming sweetness. It was like her body refused to let go. Panic flickered across her face as the sensation intensified—like she was filling from the inside, not with air, but with something heavier… thicker. Juice. Dense, syrupy, real. Her stomach pushed outward more noticeably now, stretching the fabric of her hoodie, her breath catching as she felt the weight of it. “Why can’t I stop…?” she whimpered, fingers digging into the fabric as it strained.
The flavors kept coming. Dessert now—rich, fruity, overwhelmingly sweet. Her cheeks flushed deeper, eyes wide and glassy as the pressure turned into undeniable growth. She could feel it sloshing, settling, making her heavier by the second. Her hoodie stretched taut, her posture shifting as she tried to steady herself. “I… I shouldn’t have taken it…” she gasped, voice trembling, even as her jaw kept moving on its own.
And still—
She didn’t want to stop.
