Life with Macromastia - Carrying the Weight

Interviewer:

As a graduating senior, what was the hardest part of college with macromastia?

Seraphina: Sitting through long classes while feeling them slowly press and strain against my bra. I’d be trying to focus on lectures, but all I could feel was that snug tension building and the fullness getting heavier and more noticeable the longer I stayed seated.

Interviewer:

Did it distract you often?

Seraphina: Constantly. Quiet classrooms made it worse — I’d sit still, aware of how tight my top felt and how confined they were, like the fabric and lace were working overtime to contain them. Every breath made me more aware of the pressure and the way they filled out my clothes.

Interviewer:

How did you manage it in public?

Seraphina: Composure. I’d stay calm and pretend everything was normal, even when I could feel the subtle strain and weight pressing forward during class. On the outside, I looked focused. On the inside, I was very aware of my macromastia and how present it was every single day on campus.
