TROGDOR'S MONDAY THOUGHTS #6
The internet of today is a far cry of what it was twenty years ago. Certainly when it comes to the Expansion Erotica sphere.
The internet of today is a far cry of what it was twenty years ago. Certainly when it comes to the Expansion Erotica sphere. These days no matter how obscure your fetish, there's likely a subreddit for it, and comics and art for it searchable on one of the various content aggregation websites.
But (and I'm showing my age a bit here) when I was in my teen years, the only thing that existed was a little website called the BEArchive. It was a mess, in the way many early 2000's websites were, a bunch of various barebones pages all roughly linked together, some featuring maybe 1 or 2 morphs, others with hundreds of images.
Some of the links just lead to an artist's own website, like Bustartist, but a lot of them were just solely hosted in that mess of a site.
It still exists, though it looks nothing like it used to, and it no longer has content available for free. I'm not going to shell out money to get an account, but I'm curious if all the old content is still there, hidden away somewhere.
There were a lot of artists who had work there, who I haven't seen anything from since. Artists who were foundational in my love of this particular Genre. Maximans, Rocketeer, Litch, JohnnySwell...
A lot of that old art I'm reminiscing about would be pretty tame or unimpressive compared to todays artists, but I still find myself feeling nostalgic. Wishing I could look upon them one last time...
