OP16 Meta Report — High Rank Edition

Patreon Exclusive

This week's rankings are pulled exclusively from games played in the 1 billion+ rank bracket — the top of the ladder. Looking only at this slice of the data gives a clearer picture of where the format actually sits among the best players. Here's how things shake out.

1. Blue/Green Luffy

Luffy sits at the top this week. The deck's tempo advantage compounds quickly — every extra attack and well-sequenced turn snowballs into a lead that's tough to claw back. Backed by efficient resource management, it keeps opponents constantly playing catch-up.

2. Black/Yellow Teach

Teach follows close behind Luffy. The deck's control-oriented identity — making the board harder to attack into while dictating where damage falls — remains one of the most distinct game plans in the format, punishing anyone who doesn't respect it.

3. Blue/Yellow Nami

Nami sits comfortably in the top three. Her self-protection tools paired with a steady stream of heal effects make her difficult to close out, and the deck continues to reward patient, disciplined play.

4. Purple Enel

Enel keeps applying relentless pressure. Cheap characters become real threats turn after turn, and once the deck's win conditions land, they're a pain to remove. Opponents are constantly forced to spend more resources than they'd like.

5. Purple/Yellow Rosinante

Rosinante is anchored by a core of hard-to-remove characters and a leader effect that makes attacking into the board expensive. It's still one of the best decks for grinding out long, attrition-heavy games.

6. Red/Blue Ace

Ace is a deck that thrives on outlasting opponents. Despite starting with fewer life cards than most leaders, the deck's late-game inevitability — drawing into resources through damage and KOs — makes it remarkably hard to finish off, and it closes efficiently once it gets there.

7. Black Yamato

Yamato remains a serious contender. The recursion engine that turns the graveyard into a constant stream of threats is still effective, though it demands precise sequencing to keep the loop running.

8. Red/Blue Lucy

Lucy is one of two new faces in this week's top ten. Its Dressrosa-focused shell leans heavily on Events, giving the deck a pacing and structure that feels distinct from much of the field. While Event-heavy strategies can often struggle with resource efficiency, Lucy compensates through strong filtering and draw power, letting it maintain value deep into longer games. The deck rewards sequencing precision and matchup knowledge, and even its weaker matchups stay competitive thanks to its flexibility.

9. Blue/Yellow Boa Hancock

Boa Hancock's board-flooding engine and hand management tools are still strong, but she's facing a tougher field that's better equipped to race or disrupt her before her defensive tools fully come online.

10. Purple Sengoku

Sengoku is the other newcomer this week, and it's an interesting deck picking up popularity. It's built around assembling multiple admirals on the board to start taking over the game.

Conclusion

The picture at the top of the ladder offers a clear read on the current format. Lucy and Sengoku stand out as the two decks worth watching, both showing genuine strength without yet appearing prominently in the broader rankings. Notably, Red Shanks and ST30 Luffy & Ace, both present in last week's full-pool rankings, didn't have enough representation in the 1B+ bracket to make this list. We'll keep tracking this bracket specifically going forward.

Patreon
