OP16 Meta Report
Patreon Exclusive
We've had a significant influx of games this week, giving us a much clearer picture of where the OP16 meta is heading. The data is looking more solid and the rankings below reflect that — there's been some notable movement from our early preview, so let's get into it.
1. Black/Yellow Blackbeard
Blackbeard moves to the top of the table this week and the results back it up. This is the new OP16 leader, not to be confused with the previous Blackbeard — this one plays a very different, more defensive and reactive game, making your board harder to threaten while controlling where damage lands. It is a control-oriented deck with a unique identity that punishes opponents who don't respect it, and as more players learn the lines it is only getting stronger.
2. Blue/Yellow Nami
Nami holds strong in the upper tier and remains one of the most consistent decks in the format. Her ability to protect herself alongside the abundance of heal effects makes her incredibly difficult to close out. The deck rewards patient, disciplined play and punishes opponents who overextend. A safe, high-ceiling pick at any stage of the format.
3. Purple Enel
Enel drops a spot but is far from fading. The pressure this deck generates is relentless — cheap characters become real threats every turn, and the win conditions are nearly impossible to remove once they land. Opponents are constantly forced to spend more resources than they want to, and the deck never really falls behind. Still one of the best choices you can make heading into a tournament.
4. Blue/Green Luffy
Luffy climbs this week and the results are earning it. The deck applies persistent pressure through superior resource management, always seeming to have one more attack available than opponents plan for. Backed by solid type synergies, it plays a tempo-forward game that keeps opponents constantly on the back foot. One of the more exciting decks in the format right now.
5. Purple/Yellow Rosinante
Rosinante settles into the mid-tier this week after a strong early showing. The deck is built around a core of characters that are extremely difficult to remove, with a leader effect that makes attacking into the board far more costly than opponents expect. It still plays the long, grindy game better than most — just facing a tougher field this week.
6. Black Yamato
Yamato continues to put up results and is looking more refined as the week has gone on. Built around a recursion engine that turns the graveyard into a constant source of threats, the deck creates a relentless loop that is difficult to keep up with. A strong pick for players who have put the reps in and know how to sequence correctly.
7. Blue/Yellow Boa Hancock
Boa Hancock remains a well-rounded and resilient option. Her engine floods the board on the opponent's turn while keeping the hand full, and her life management tools make her genuinely hard to race down. The deck has a way of turning defensive moments into offensive ones and continues to reward players who are familiar with its core synergies.
8. Red/Blue Ace
Ace is a deck that thrives on outlasting opponents. Despite starting with fewer life cards than most leaders, he is remarkably hard to finish off — drawing into resources through damage and KOs and staying competitive deep into the late game. The deck builds steadily toward a strong endgame and can close games efficiently once it gets there.
9. Red Shanks
Shanks holds steady toward the bottom of the list but remains a real threat. The new Benn Beckman adds a solid blocker that gives the deck a layer of defensive flexibility it previously lacked, shoring up some of the matchups where it could be run over. The fundamentals are all still there and he remains one or two pieces away from pushing back up the rankings.
10. ST30 Luffy & Ace
Luffy & Ace round out the list this week. The synergy-driven gameplan built around a specific power threshold creates a board that becomes surprisingly resilient on the opponent's turn, with key characters able to attack immediately on the turn they are played. The deck is still being refined and the dataset is smaller than others, so expect this ranking to shift as we see more games.
Conclusion
The OP16 meta is taking real shape this week. Blackbeard's rise to the top is the headline result, while Luffy's climb and Rosinante's slight dip show that the field is still adjusting. Nami and Enel remain pillars of the format and are unlikely to go anywhere. We'll keep updating as more games come through — stay tuned.

Can I make a suggestion to highlight match-ups that are close to yellow?
