OP15 Meta Report – Week 5

Meta Overview

Week 5 reflects a noticeable slowdown across the format. Play rates have dropped significantly for nearly every deck, suggesting a mix of early burnout, a “solved” feeling meta, or players simply waiting for the next major shift.

What hasn’t changed is the top.

Purple Enel and Blue/Yellow Nami remain firmly cemented as the two best decks in the format. While the rest of the field continues to rotate and adjust, these two archetypes still define the standard for both performance and consistency.

1. Purple Enel

Purple Enel takes the top spot this week—and it’s not particularly close. It combines one of the highest play rates with an elite win rate, supported by a matchup spread that is favorable into most of the field.

What truly separates Enel is how it breaks the traditional DON!! curve. Rather than scaling upward like most decks, it stabilizes around 6 DON!! and fully exploits that breakpoint through ramp and cost manipulation. This allows Enel to maintain tempo while accessing high-impact effects earlier than expected.

At this point, Enel isn’t just strong—it’s shaping the format.

2. Blue/Yellow Nami

Blue/Yellow Nami continues to solidify itself as one of the most complete decks in OP15. Its combination of control, efficiency, and resource management makes it extremely difficult to pressure at any stage of the game.

Recent support from EB03 and OP15 has significantly improved the deck’s consistency. Its draws are smoother, its lines are more reliable, and it can apply pressure without overextending—making it one of the hardest decks to punish.

Even after ban adjustments, Nami remains one of the best-performing decks into Enel and continues to hold strong across the field.

3. Red/Blue Ace

Ace remains one of the most fundamentally sound decks in the format. Its 6K Leader applies immediate pressure, often forcing opponents to commit counter resources earlier than they’d prefer.

From there, Ace transitions into a controlled mid-game, leveraging small tempo edges and clean sequencing to stay ahead. It doesn’t rely on flashy interactions—just efficient play and strong fundamentals.

That consistency keeps it firmly positioned as a benchmark deck in the format.

4. Red/Blue Lucy

Lucy has quickly established itself as one of the most impactful new leaders in OP15. With a high play rate, strong results, and a flexible game plan, it has already secured a place in top-tier contention.

Its Dressrosa-focused strategy leans heavily on Events, giving it a unique pacing compared to the rest of the field. While Event-heavy builds can strain resources, Lucy compensates with strong draw and filtering, allowing it to sustain value deep into games.

It’s a sequencing-heavy deck that rewards precision, and even its weaker matchups remain competitive.

5. Yellow Luffy

Yellow Luffy excels at converting defense into long-term advantage. Its ability to turn removal into additional Life cards makes it extremely difficult to out-resource over time.

The deck naturally builds wide boards and forces inefficient trades from opponents. Once it gains momentum, it can quickly close games with Rush threats like Luffy.

It performs particularly well into decks like Enel and Lucy, making it a strong counter pick—though its matchup into Nami remains a key weakness.

6. Green Mihawk

Mihawk continues to produce solid results, though it remains more matchup-dependent than the decks above it.

It can dominate specific pairings but struggles to maintain that same level of consistency across the entire field. As a result, it’s less reliable as a blind pick—but still very dangerous in the right hands and meta conditions.

7. Red/Green Luffy

Red/Green Luffy continues to carve out a role as an aggressive, tempo-driven strategy capable of ending games quickly if left unchecked.

Its early-game pressure is one of its biggest strengths, allowing it to overwhelm slower decks. It performs well across much of the field, though Ace remains a challenging matchup.

With further optimization, it has room to climb.

8. Imu

Imu carries over its strength from previous formats, rewarding disciplined play and strong resource management.

It applies steady pressure while controlling opposing threats and scales effectively into the late game. Its consistency and punish-heavy playstyle make it a reliable choice for players who value stability over volatility.

9. Black Crocodile

Black Crocodile is still developing its identity as a restrictive control deck. By limiting opposing removal through its leader ability, it forces awkward board states and unconventional sequencing.

Results remain inconsistent, but the archetype feels underexplored rather than weak. With refinement, it has the potential to rise in future weeks.

10. Blackbeard

Blackbeard enters the top 10 this week, showing strong early performance into several top-tier decks, including Nami, Ace, and Lucy.

While the sample size is still relatively small, the results are promising. Its resilience and ability to disrupt key strategies make it one of the more interesting emerging options in the format.

Conclusion

Despite the drop in overall play rates, the core structure of the OP15 meta remains unchanged.

Enel and Nami still sit clearly above the rest, continuing to dictate how decks are built and how matchups are approached. The gap between them and the rest of the field remains significant.

What is evolving is everything around them. Mid-tier decks are shifting, new contenders like Blackbeard are emerging, and players are actively searching for ways to challenge the top.

For now, success in OP15 still comes down to a simple question:

Can your deck consistently compete with Enel and Nami?

Until that answer changes, neither will the meta.
