OP15 Meta Report – Week 2 (Pre-Banlist)
We’re now heading into the second week of OP15 data, and while early trends are beginning to form, it’s important to highlight that this is still a pre-banlist environment. With potential adjustments on the horizon—particularly targeting Yellow decks—we should expect meaningful shifts in the coming weeks that could reshape the format.
For this report, we’ll continue focusing on general rankings to maintain a larger and more reliable sample size. That said, the format is still in its early stages, and significant changes are likely as players refine builds, optimize tech choices, and adapt to emerging trends.
So far, a few clear frontrunners have started to separate themselves from the pack—most notably Purple Enel and Red/Blue Lucy, both showing strong early performance, consistency, and well-rounded matchup spreads. Alongside them, familiar contenders like Red/Blue Ace and Blue/Yellow Nami remain firmly in the mix, continuing to anchor the early meta.
1. Purple Enel
Leading the pack this week, Purple Enel stands out as both one of the most played decks and the one with the strongest overall winrate. Its matchup spread is impressive, giving it an edge across much of the field.
What makes Enel unique is its unconventional resource curve. The deck typically caps at 6 DON!!, leaning heavily on its 6-cost Enel characters to control the game. Thanks to its built-in ramp mechanics, it can take advantage of powerful effects that would normally carry drawbacks—without actually sacrificing tempo.
At this stage of the format, Purple Enel has clearly established itself as a defining force in the OP15 meta.
2. Red/Blue Lucy
Red/Blue Lucy is one of the standout new leaders from OP15 and has quickly become both highly played and highly successful. Its strong winrate and well-rounded matchup spread make it an immediate top-tier contender.
The deck introduces a distinct Dressrosa-based strategy centered around Events. By integrating Events directly into its core game plan, Lucy gains consistent value and flexibility in how it approaches matchups. While this approach can be resource-intensive, the Leader’s draw engine—combined with additional filtering—ensures a steady flow of options into the late game.
Its ability to balance pressure with sustained card advantage makes it one of the most dynamic decks in the current environment.
3. Blue/Yellow Nami
Blue/Yellow Nami has rapidly developed into one of the most well-rounded decks in OP15. It combines strong board control with efficient resource management, allowing it to stay competitive at every stage of the game.
Recent support from EB03 and OP15 has significantly improved the deck’s consistency, smoothing out its overall game plan and making it easier to apply pressure without sacrificing hand stability.
With these upgrades, Nami has solidified its place among the early frontrunners and is fully capable of competing with the top decks in the format.
4. Red/Blue Ace
Red/Blue Ace continues to influence early-game combat through its natural 6K Leader pressure. This constant threat forces opponents to commit counter resources earlier than they would prefer, often creating an early tempo advantage.
The deck excels at converting these openings into stable mid-game control. Rather than relying on new tools, Ace thrives on consistency, sequencing, and pressure.
Its reliability keeps it firmly positioned as one of the format’s benchmark decks.
5. Yellow Luffy
Yellow Luffy specializes in maintaining board presence through defensive value. Its core mechanic allows you to add a Life card to your hand whenever one of your 6000+ power {Sky Island} Characters would be removed, making it extremely difficult for opponents to efficiently clear your board.
By protecting its units and gradually building a wide field, the deck generates strong offensive momentum. It often closes games using Rush threats like Monkey D. Luffy to capitalize on sustained pressure.
Notably, it shows strong matchups into top decks like Lucy and Purple Enel, positioning it as a potential riser as the meta develops.
6. Black/Yellow Moria
Black/Yellow Moria focuses on overwhelming opponents through wide board development and explosive multi-attack turns. Its ability to rapidly flood the field allows it to create swing turns that can quickly decide games.
If left unchecked, the deck becomes extremely difficult to contain, punishing slower or unprepared strategies. Its aggressive scaling makes it a strong contender in the early OP15 landscape.
7. Kalgara
Kalgara returns to the top 10 with significant upgrades from OP15, revitalizing its overall game plan. The deck thrives on speed and early pressure, allowing it to challenge slower setups and capitalize on unrefined builds.
While still developing, its improved card pool gives it the tools needed to remain competitive. It will be important to watch how the deck evolves as players continue to refine optimal builds.
8. Red/Green Luffy
Red/Green Luffy is proving to be a solid and explosive option with strong performance into several matchups across the field. Its aggressive playstyle and ability to generate early pressure make it a constant threat.
However, it does struggle into the meta’s upper echelon—particularly against Ace—which limits its current ceiling.
That said, its speed and kill potential give it plenty of room to grow, and with refinement, it could climb higher in the coming weeks.
(Decklist will be added shortly)
9. Blue/Yellow Boa
Blue/Yellow Boa continues to establish itself as one of the most balanced leaders in the format. It combines early-game pressure with strong card flow, allowing it to remain stable even in extended games.
Rather than dominating specific matchups, Boa performs consistently across a wide range of opponents. However, the rise of Blue/Yellow Nami introduces a challenging matchup that slightly impacts its positioning.
Even so, it remains a reliable and competitive choice.
10. Green Mihawk
Green Mihawk continues to deliver solid results and maintains favorable matchups against several decks in the field. However, compared to higher-ranked leaders, it tends to be more dependent on matchup context.
In OP15, it has shown some struggles into top-tier decks, which limits its effectiveness as a blind pick. That said, in more targeted environments, Mihawk can perform exceptionally well.
In the hands of experienced players, it remains a dangerous and rewarding option.
Conclusion
After two weeks of OP15, the early meta is beginning to take shape. Purple Enel and Red/Blue Lucy have clearly emerged as the initial frontrunners, combining strong winrates with well-rounded matchup spreads.
Close behind, Blue/Yellow Nami and Red/Blue Ace continue to provide consistency and stability, reinforcing their roles as core pillars of the format.
At the same time, rising contenders like Yellow Luffy and Black/Yellow Moria are showing strong potential to challenge the top tier—especially as builds become more refined and play patterns optimized.
With a banlist potentially on the horizon, adaptation will be critical. Targeting top-tier strategies and improving consistency will likely define the next phase of the OP15 meta.
As more data becomes available, expect continued shifts in both rankings and matchup dynamics.
