I’m excited to share my new model Fidget Button | Push-Push Mechanism with you. This design is mainly a fidget toy – simple, satisfying, and fun – but it also works as a clear demonstration of the Push-Push mechanism, where one press locks the button and the next press releases it. It’s a small model, but a great example of mechanical logic used in everyday objects like retractable pens and push-to-open systems. ⚙️

• Size: Ø 32 mm, height 68–59 mm

• Requires a rubber band 1.4 × 35 mm

  • make two loops

  • Similar rubber bands can be used ✅ 

  • Rubber band ensures reliable and consistent function (Plastic springs lose stiffness over time, so no printed spring is used)
