Jira weekend
While I worked on the Big Fucking List™, Hyneman set up a new project management app for us to use.
The Dev Trello is getting cluttered, and the Big Fucking List™ is just a document on my hard drive that will soon be out of date. We need a way for the whole team to access, edit and maintain the list.
The solution Hyneman chose for this is an app called Jira. Jira is part of a suite of products we're already using (Bitbucket & Trello), so integration should be smooth.
I spent today learning Jira, and have started populating it with tasks. (It's not quite as simple as just copying and pasting the Big Fucking List™ into Jira, because Jira organises tasks into Epics, User Stories and Tasks, so we've had to experiment with some new terms and structures.)
One process-related problem we identified today is that some game mechanics are vaguely defined and/or have multiple iterations (and attached comments and counter-suggestions) in various chats and Google Docs.
This ambiguity can cause internal delays and confusion (e.g. a coder wants to start work on a game mechanic, but isn't sure which rules version to use, or if any suggestions in the comments should be adopted).
Jira links with another app, Confluence, which manages documentation and design decisions. We set up Confluence today, and have started using it to finalise and record design decisions before coding starts on them.
My plan for the weekend is to populate Jira with high priority tasks and projects. Then on Monday, I'll get back to work writing the Sex Engine v2 Prototype – while other team members work on implementing the rules changes we published last week.
Jira (somehow) allows us to publish the task list and a kind of roadmap. When we figure that out, we'll share it with you.

Of note only the max age should go up for the default, as once you have a min age you would date, that doesn't really change, just starts getting less likely as you age that it will happen
My feeling is that it works like that for most guys, but not for most girls? Some of my female friends who are single and on dating apps complain that they're often approached by guys who are "too young". This is just my personal take, though, so all discussion on this is welcome
When can we expect the release?
The next release will be a playable demo of a sex scene using the new Sex Engine. It's part complete, more info soon.
Oh i know jira quite well from work and been working with it for 3 and a half years, i think it will help you with development process
