1.5.1.01 Bug Fixes & 1.6 plans
Hey guys! We've fixed a few bugs in the game, and the links in the Patron and public download posts have been updated to the newest version (1.5.1.01).
We still need a few days to work on our plans for 1.6, so things will be a little bit quiet here on the dev blog for the next week or so. We'll announce our plans for 1.6 (the NPC upgrade) very soon.
In the background, we'll continue tweaking and polishing the recent 1.5 release. We have a cool new avatar feature to announce soon, and we've also received quite a lot of negative feedback about the suntan the agent gains in Dubai being too severe, so we'll aim to tweak that shortly.
A few months ago, I reduced the amount of time I was working at my real job to around one day per week, so Female Agent could get most of my time. I agreed to stay on with them to complete the big project I'd been working on for the past two years – the final stages of that project are now in motion. So my availability for game dev may be slightly reduced in the short term as I oversee the destruction of Alderaa-I mean, the creation of a new business unit, but on the other side of that I will be able to cut away from that project for good and devote all my work time to the game.
I'm at my real job tomorrow, but will be back on the game on Tuesday. See you then, everybody!

I would just like to say that this entire project, with regular updates and putting great care into getting everything just right, somehow comes across as very wholesome. Which is a weird and somewhat ironic thing to say, considering what we'll be subjecting our agent to. Maybe I should write that down to the very good in-depth character creation which allows you to invest emotionally into your character before the game has even truly hit its stride. But really, just the almost daily updates are almost worth subscribing for. I may not be a big donator but everything about this project makes me want to stay on for however long it takes to complete, whether that be six months or two years. Your work ethic and enthusiasm have yet to fail to bring a smile to my face. So thanks.
