Current task: Building the Sex Engine
Hello everybody! Just wanted to check in and let you know that I'm hard at work behind the scenes. My current project is the game's sex engine.
Sex in Female Agent will be primarily text-based (with dynamic changes to the character avatar based on things like her evolving state of undress, or if she takes a facial), so I want the text to be interactive and fun. I'm currently working on a system that dynamically adjusts the options available to the player (and the NPC) as the scene develops and based on each character's unique traits and statistics.
This sounds simple, but the interlocking options make it complex. Take something as straightforward as removing the Agent's bra. The code I just wrote calculates:
If the Agent or her partner can even take off the bra (e.g. she can't if she's tied up)
What words to use to describe the bra coming off (varying based on who did it, whether or not they were being Rough, how the specific bra fastens)
What the NPC thinks of the Agent's exposed boobs, how he expresses that, and what he might say
How much more (or less) aroused the Agent gets (modified by whether or not she's an Exhibitionist and how attracted she is to the NPC).
A similar calculation for the NPC (modified by how much he's into the Agent in general and seeing her boobs in particular)
The avatar's new appearance (i.e. braless)
What old options are no longer available (e.g. taking off her bra :-D )
What new options are available (e.g. all the things you can do with boobies :-D )
And that's just for taking off her fucking bra. Honestly: it's way easier in real life.
The good news is that the sex engine is an "extensible framework" that can handle all kinds of future developments. Right now, it only supports MF sex scenes, but MFM and MFF are just a question of adding extra options to the engine. And all the scenes can be improved by tweaking variables and adding new text snippets (instead of writing individual sex scenes from scratch).
So, the first application of this work will be the optional sex scene in Dubai...but the hours I'm putting in will pay off when it comes to future sex scenes. If your Agent is getting spit-roasted by playboys on a VIP yacht party, or sucking off some German sex tourist three times her age in a BJ bar, the game's sex engine will be working behind the scenes!

"Nearly there!" and "There will definitely be something released in the next few days." approx. 2 weeks ago. RIP this game, good thing I waited before becoming a patron.
a bit of a bummer that it's taking a minute, but also exciting to think it could be something worth the wait. Or, at least a framework that promises to be. Looking forward to it.

Don't wanna seem pushy or anything but I'm looking forward to seeing how your project progresses and I'm on edge with the "few more days" style of ETA managing. No pressure but it does look sketchy.
I want to hold my hands up and say that the "few more days" thing was really bad skills. I believed it when I said it, but then I got in the weeds with coding, and couldn't deliver. So far, no problem, but the strategy I chose – "get your head down, Crush, and get the update out" – was really fucking amateur. I should have communicated that I was stuck and working my way out, instead of going radio silent. I believe it's impossible to talk your way out of situations you behave your way into, so I'm going to adopt a new behaviour. Starting tomorrow, I'll post dev updates on this page and let you guys know what I'm working on, and report any serious problems that pop up.
I was hoping to get a new release out this week, but it's taking longer than I anticipated – sorry, everybody. My productivity's taken a big hit this week because my dog is sick and in my spare time I've been looking after her. :-( The sex engine is working, but it's not much fun to play with yet, so I need to do more work on it before I can release it. Just wanted to check in and let everybody know where I'm at.
Not to make you feel rushed, but do you have any adjusted guesses as to when you'll be able to release the next version? Hope your dog feels better.
