Progress update
I've finished redrawing the basic avatars in the new improved style. They now have faces and some shading, and next to the 1.0 avatars, I think they're a big improvement.
I'm aiming to get a 1.1 update out as early as possible this week. It will contain:
The new avatars, with faces
A character customisation screen allowing you to modify your agent's nationality and appearance before you start
Facial expressions to indicate player mood, instead of a text description
New hairstyles (definitely) and new clothes (hopefully)
Several new names in the name generators, contributed by Patrons!
I intend to launch this version with the one face version you see above, so your agents will look facially generic (although they will have differing eye and eyebrow colours, and of course hairstyles and boob sizes). This is to cut down my workload around the facial expression system. But a future update will allow you to select different noses, brows, eye shapes and mouths during character generation.
Version 1.1 is unlikely to have any new story content. My plan is to develop the story in 1.2, which will also introduce the game's stat, dice roll and experience mechanics.
Thanks to everybody for your support, feedback and encouragement. I'm delighted that the game has piqued the interest of so many people and I promise to do my best to make it live up to its potential.
