🤔 So, Gaizellic, what did you update this week? (July 2 - July 9)
Gaizellic Adventure Got a Makeover!
One of the biggest problems with the previous interface was that too many UI elements were covering the background artwork. Gaizellic Adventure is meant to feel like a visual novel, where the artwork is an important part of the experience, but the old interface didn't really achieve that.
I've spent the past few weeks redesigning the UI from the ground up, and I hope the new layout lets you enjoy the background artwork much more. You can still click the interface to toggle the UI on and off whenever you want to view the artwork in full screen. I also changed the font so more text can fit inside each dialogue panel.
Another benefit of the redesign is that the game can now display more than three choice buttons while the story is progressing, giving me much more flexibility when creating story events.
So why did I spend so much time revamping the interface?
Because the core foundation of this game is interacting with NPCs through AI.
Right now, AI conversations are limited to anime guys, but my long-term goal is to give every NPC in the game access to AI. Even Chef Milo will eventually be someone you can have a real conversation with. You'll be able to ask him questions, learn about his background, and interact with him just like you would with any other character. (some NPCs won't be avaliable for NSFW conversations)
At the moment, I'm still working on the Orc Village. The biggest challenge has been time. I've spent so much time programming, redesigning the interface, and researching which technologies and LLMs would be the best fit for the game that I haven't had much time left to create artwork for the village.
On top of that, I'm also creating my weekly webtoon and short panels, which take over 40 hours every week. After that, I still spend another 10–20 hours coding the game. By the end of the week, I've usually been too exhausted to create all the game assets myself.
Today, though, I had a meeting with my assistant, who has learned how to create artwork in the Gaizellic Adventure style. I believe this is going to have a huge positive impact on development. My assistant can focus on creating the artwork while I concentrate on programming and game systems.
I think that with two people working on the project, I'll finally be able to spend much more time adding new gameplay features.

Here are a few tips when chatting with AI character bots.
If you see the wrong picture showing for any action you’re doing with an anime character, please report what happened, and I’ll review and fix it.
For now, you can send up to 300 messages a day. This limit may change after I review the billing from the AI system.
Sometimes you have to be very specific and descriptive if you want to trigger a certain action image. Vague messages may confuse the AI.
As before, you’ll need 300 charisma points to unlock all NSFW actions. The anime characters won’t jump into bed with you right away.
