Charm'd - Build Set 1
Hey everyone!
Am I or am I not writing this at 4AM 6AM? Yes, I am! :D Just the usual. But I wanted to share this set with you before I leave for the Camino.
I named this collection Charm'd because the Victorian style reminded me of Charmed that I used to watch a lot back in the day. And because I couldn't come up with a better name.
The main focus of this first part of the collection are the windows and doors with a few build items to complete the Victorian look.
Since I had less time and I have a bunch of ideas I'll continue with more build objects in the next part.
For this set I really wanted to make some stained glass windows and doors so almost every type of window has a few swatches with a stained glass design, and all doors have in the same colors. As you can see, there are two styles of windows, I also made a few arched ones, I think they look good mixed with the regular rectangle windows.
I know the game already has siding but I hate that the colors are so limited so I added 41 colors for us to enjoy. I wanted to make a version with the corners but I couldn't finish that one so I might add it to the next part.
I mentioned earlier that making a roof trim was quite tricky because there's a setting in Sims 4 Studio I don't understand but I managed to make one and I like how it turned out. I added a simple one so you have all the same colors as the decorative trim.
I made a few decorative gables in various sizes, I tried to do different angles so you can use them in more than one cases. They are in the roof decoration category.

awee, i know you chose the roof so it could be base game compatible, but in adventure awaits, the roofing was double sided, so it wasn't just bright white under the roofing. i wonder if there's some coding that can be used in the base game. i noticed when you showed off those gorgeous roof trims, the white underside.

Yees, I want to upload it once I finish the back of it. I also want to do a fully furnished version when I'm done with the interior but that's really far ahead so I might upload it empty too soon.
OMG growing up Charmed was my favourite TV series ever and until this day I wish I could build it in the Sims

Omg, Valia!!! Late last year, I rewatched the series and then fell down a months long rabbit hole researching the house and trying to recreate it in the Sims (which is very tricky to do, since the interior is a set and doesn't always match up with the exterior very well). A few people have made build sets for the house over the years, but they're all either too Alpha-CC looking for my preference or they no longer work due to game updates. THIS IS AMAZING and it goes public the day after my birthday! I'm so excited!!!

Although it's not exactly the same as the house in the series because I was inspired by the Victorian style in general but once I built the house for the pictures and put this red color on it I couldn't escape from the thoughts of Charmed and the nostalgic feeling it gave me. So I hope you'll find these items useful for recreating the house even it's not exactly the same.

I absolutely love this! Been waiting for years for someone to make something like this!!! THANK YOU!!🙏 one quick question about placing the gables: I can’t seem to be able to place them like you have in your build, I always get the message “insufficient wall height” or just the item being red , despite having MO on. Is there a hack I’m not aware of for them to be placed correctly?
Thank you! I just checked and I got the same error when I turned off moveobjects. With moveobjects it works. I'll try to see tomorrow if I can solve the issue so it could work without the cheat.

Sure, I'm currently working on the next part, I already made two types of fences :D but I'll see if I can fit in a wrought iron one as well. The mailbox is in my plan for sure!

Yes, I'll upload it sometime! I have to finish the back of it because that's really ugly :D For this collection I was thinking I would build the house than try to make a part for each room and then upload the complete furnished house at the end.

Thank you! I think for the interior I'm going to draw inspiration more from Practical Magic but it'll be a mix of anything I think would look good. I want the inside to be a family home with lived-in details.

This set is sooo lovely I decided I couldn't wait an entire month! And please, dear precious Valia, do not change the length of your early access. I've noticed many of my favourite creators going for two months instead of one. I could afford to spend this money. Even if it is a small sum to donate, for others it is not. And they shouldn't be punished (? or penalized... english is not my first language) for this fact. And of course, have a lovely trip to the Camino!
