Quiet Corner - Storefront
Hey everyone!
As I mentioned in my earlier post when I published the latest set, there were some items I couldn't finish and include in that one. So I decided I'd release the windows and doors and work more in the other things and upload it a week-2 weeks later.
These items are meant to go in front of your shops. The main goal was to achieve a cozy, "Iwannaseethoseoldbooksandsitdownandreadalittle" feeling. I hope I could bring this feeling to life with this set.
The other important thing was to make as many signs as I could. I have to be honest, this task was creatively draining for me because I had to come up with different "logos" (which I've always hated to make") and different kind of flyers, signs so they would be useable for more than just a book store. Most of the design elements I used are from Freepik, but I modified, recolored, redesigned most of them. None of these were made using AI.
The signs come in 2 sizes, each design have 2 versions for these sizes. Sometimes it's the same as the bigger, sometimes I used different text but they always go together. They will snap onto the sign panels from the previous set. I tried to make a big variety of them for different type of lots, and I tried to make designs with only text (these usually come in black and white options).
The shop flyers as I called them (but now I realized poster would fit better, but I can't change it now because I have to go) can be used alone and put on the wall, on the windows or as I intented: they can be slotted onto the empty sign board. I made a bunch of designs for this as well. (The photos only show a few of them.)
I hope you'll find these signs useful, I really tried to do many options to choose from.
I told you about me travelling home so I won't be available until the 19th of January, I won't upload WIP posts in this time but I'll be here answering comments!
After I come back I'll start on the next part which will be finally an interior set, I don't know what exactly yet because I have so many ideas for the inside, I think I'll have to do more parts for it as well. :D We might start with the reception and lounge area because I wanna do bookshelfs too but I just know they will be a lot so I think they'll be in another part.

Hey! I am a HUGE fan since this series came out- I not only have bookstores everywhere in my world now but also love using the CC for other shops and regular builds. Today I isolated this particular CC file to be corrupting my game.. so I removed it (along with 90% of my facades along with it.) I wonder what could be the issue? I would love to hear back if/when you have a chance... And again- one million times thank you for all that you do! <3
Hey, thank you so much! Can you tell me what issues do you have? I'm going to check. I'm not sure what could cause it because they are just simple items without any custom tuning. I have them in the game but I don't have any issues, so can you check which specific file causes problems for you? Maybe it can help me find the issue quicker. Thank you!

Hi Valia!! This set is beyond perfect, I've been excited for it since your first WIP for it!! I've been getting into building a functional bookstore, and one of my biggest frustrations is there's no retail display that fits the in-game readable books out of debug. Some of them come on pre-made displays, but I have some custom books that don't. Do you think it might be possible to create a display (just like a simple one that sits on a shelf) that the flat books would snap to so they're displayed upright? 🥺 I don't know if you're planning on creating more items for the interior of the bookstore, but if you do, that would be a life-changing addition!
This is a really good idea! I'm definitely making more than one interior sets so I'll do a simple display for the in-game books for one of them!

Thank you! I'm happy you like them. The struggle and amount of time I had to spend on them reflects my feelings towards creating logos. 😄 I've always had the hardest time with logos.
