WIP#56
Hey everyone!
It feels like a lifetime since I last checked in, sorry for being a little absent. That usually just means I’ve been so locked in that the days are flying by.
Lately, I’ve been working on the swatches for everything (that's why this photo is so boring), and while doing the wood tones, I realized I wasn’t really happy with the colors I used in the previous set. So I created a slightly different palette. Not a huge change, but I deepened the tones, added more contrast (which I think was missing), and swapped out one of the colors. Of course, that meant redoing all the cabinet, island, and counter textures to match the new swatches… and that took some time. But I finally finished them all!
I also managed to finish the wall tiles I didn’t have time for last month. And just when I thought I was done, I remembered the menu board item, which still needed swatches too. Sooo, I was hoping to share this set today, but it’ll most likely go live tomorrow or worst case, Thursday.
After that, I’ll be heading off to start the Camino de Santiago, so I’ll be walking for a week and won’t be able to share any WIPs during that time. But once I’m back home, I’ll jump right into the third part of the bakery set which I think will be the final one for now. I’m really excited to start a brand new theme next, and I’ve been feeling really inspired about it!
So since I redid the swatches of the previous set I'm gonna update that so it will match with this second part!

I was thinking the entire time I was reading that the sets wouldn't match with different wood tones. Most creators don't bother. Then I got to the part where you redid the swatches so they match!!! I appreciate that soooooo much!!!
I am not the best because I tend to change up the colors with different sets because I'm never satisfied with them but I always make sure that they match within a big set. Like in the cabin collection I used the same ones throughout the whole collection and I wanted to do that now as well but there were 2 or 3 wood colors I just hated :D So there was no choice other than redoing them if I wanted to use new ones instead. I tried to incorporate similar tones like the game has so it would match better with in-game items as well but this is a never ending struggle for me, and my older sets have different colors because I'm trying to find the perfect ones. Sorry for the ramble :D This topic frustrates me so much I spend so much time with wood swatches and I would redo them all from all my sets to match but I'm afraid I don't have time for that and I'm not sure if that's something people would even want.
