Combat Pilot - UPDATE V 0.518 for Free Trial and Patreon
UPDATE V 0.518
We have released a minor update with a few tweaks, which we think are important to test before the demo period is over. @everyone
The throttle in the F4F-4 now has a detent at 95%. Reaching the detent equals full power without WEP. Pushing past it activates WEP. On the F4F-4, the WEP is not supposed to be activated with the push of a button or another mechanism.,
When launching in VR with the OpenXR toolkit or NeckSafer active, a warning message will now show to prompt the player not to use such incompatible softwares.,
‘Ignore Manual Cockpit Camera Controls When Head Tracking Is Active’ is now ‘On’ by default. This means, that when you have TrackIR/OpenTrack/etc, the mouse will no longer combine with your head movement.,
World space cursor option has been added for clickable cockpits. This option, when turned on, will NO longer move your clickable-cockpit cursor along with your camera, instead, it will remain in the same spot.,
Varjo headset compatibility solution has been added (to be tested!).,
Update size: 80MB.
Happy flying, enjoy the weekend. The demo will remain active until Monday 10am PST / 7pm CET.

Unless i'm being really stupid - you're paywalling blog updates about the current state of the game? Shouldn't that bit be free, like you know; the way all other commerce works? Or are you purposefully keeping numbers low right now? I would subscribe to play but i literally don't know what i'm subscribing to! Paying a sub to read whether you think it's worth paying a sub to play doesn't fill me with confidence
The blogs always become public a week after the Patreons get it. Like the one you commented here, they are all available on our forums as well. As of April 2026, they are also available on Steam. So yes, there is a privilege for paying members there, not sure I fully understand what you think is off about that, since that's the whole idea of it. As for not knowing what you're subscribing to, there's always our membership page: https://www.patreon.com/c/combatpilot/membership.
Great update ! Don't want to harp on less significant issue's but I hope a pilot is coming soon !
