Audie J. Zwingle, moneymancer (Original)

For generations, the Zwingle family has amassed wealth with their incredible business sense -- perfectly timing their investments, acquiring startups that go on to become industry giants, carefully avoiding market crashes and financial pitfalls that destroyed many a dynasty before them. In fact, there are rumors among the other elites that the Zwingles made a deal with the devil to have such fantastic luck. What they don't know is that it wasn't the devil they made a contract with -- it was Plutus, the demon of greed. And this pact allows them to predict their future.

One night, Audie received a vision as she was getting ready for bed. Or more specifically, she saw...almost nothing. Rather than hundreds of possible futures, the sea of time within her mind was flat and quiet save for one tiny ripple of possibility. In a few hours, a girl would arrive to kill her. In the only future that remained, she had to become that girl's friend instead (see Heartstealer's backstory).

Audie is cheerful, clever, confident and creative. She loves novelty and is just as happy with dessert at a 5-star restaurant as she is getting a candy bar from a vending machine. If you asked what her favorite food is, she would promptly reply, "How am I supposed to know that? I haven't tried everything yet!" She doesn't take herself (or almost anything) seriously, instead seeing life as a series of wonderful dice rolls and finding something interesting about whatever she gets. She's also prone to tiny acts of mischief -- for example, leaving a sour candy inside Heartstealer's mask while she's in the shower, or refilling her cup with coffee instead of tea. Some of these mischievous acts are so inconsequential that Heartstealer doesn't even notice, which amuses Audie even more.

There's a lot more to Audie's backstory, how her abilities work, the lore around Plutus, etc., but I won't drag this out too much. Just know that she's a 30-something manic pixie ojousama with a messed up family, money powers and clairvoyance (and that she and Heartstealer are basically inseparable).
