Whenever I visit my grandkids, I always end up having some great conversations about child development and psychology with my daughter, who is a professional in the field. Those conversations inspired this video.

Excusagists love the Genesis account because they think they’ve proven some kind of worldview-establishing slam dunk. But I feel their pain. If you aren’t guilty, there’s no point to Jesus. And, metaphoric original sin isn’t going to do the job. But I totally agree. God comes off as a royal schmuck.
Brilliant Bri! And language: takes years to learn and master. Did A & E come pre-programmed? Were they potty trained? The list of life skills they would NOT have known goes on and on. Yet Dad expected them to know right from wrong? What a dumbass!

Right out of the gate (page 3), the Bible starts out by infuriating me with that stupid Adam and Eve story. A complete and total set up, they never had a chance. GRRRRR! And it only gets worse from there.
Entrapment would get such a case thrown out of court nowadays!
After A&E were evicted from the Garden, Yahweh put a guard with a flaming sword at the entrance to make sure they didn't sneak back in. So ... why didn't Yahweh put such a guard on the damned trees if they were so fucking important.
We got DYFS, here in Jersey, but you can bet your bottom dollar, that DYFS would have hauled god’s ass off to jail for child abuse, a long time ago.
Yup. If CPS had witnessed such child abuse, Adam and Eve would have ended up in a foster home in a heartbeat. Their pet serpent too!
