WOTM: Giving Us Free Will Is Vicious
God's Omniscience creates all kinds of problems for make believers in The Tribal War god of Abraham. This is especially true for the idea that God gave us free will. I've talked about a number of those problems before, but this time, I have a new take — that God giving us the kind of free will Christians imagine us having would be horrific and vicious. There's just no reason for The Tribal War god of Abraham to do such a thing. Especially if He's omnibenevolent.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. More is on the way. Enjoy! B

Brill Bri!
I'm thinking that this is why the play by Carlos Solórzano, "Las manos de Dios," really opened my eyes years ago, guiding me toward my eventual apostasy. The hero of the story, a "stranger" in the villange, turns out to be… the Devil.… who has fought forever against the vicious, cruel, tyrannical "gawd" oppressing people with threats, punishments, enslavement. He is the true savior of those who will listen to him.
