The only “moral teaching” of jesus I like is “be not as the hypocrites”. Given that a lot of make believers are hypocritical sanctimonious pricks, I sure don’t want to be like them or be a make believer myself. Thanks jesus. Some make believers call jesus the first socialist, but clearly the poor weren’t a priority. Matthew 26:11. All these grand claims with no receipts. Building a house of cards that can be tumbled down with just a few bible verses. The owl guy can also be disputed by verses of jesus saying that if you say mean things to your friends you are guilty of hell, and then jesus calling his disciples idiots and the Samaritan woman a dog. "When I give food to the poor they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist." -Hélder Câmara “The greatest “christians” are the Atheists. They do good without the desire for the reward of heaven nor the fear of the punishment of hell” - someone on youtube.

Damn, Bri-Bri, like fine wine and cheese, you just keep getting better with age. How do you fend off all the groupies, esp the hot chicks?

"No one comes to the father ..." You referred to this as coming to "the Father" in Heaven. But Jesus was a Jew. Dead people went to Sheol, not Heaven. Heaven was for Heavenly beings: god, his host, angels, etc. "Coming to the father ..." would have been better stated as "coming to know the Father ..." because nobody wanted all of those smelly humans clogging up the walking paths of Heaven.

You missed the biggest sin of omission: Germ Theory. Jesus could have saved the lives of a billion people if he had told us to wash our hands before cooking, eating, and doing medicine, and after going to the bathroom. If people are getting sick, try boiling water before drinking it. Cook your food thoroughly. Keep your shit and piss out of the drinking water. "Boil the hell out of stuff to kill the tiny satans if you're getting sick!" But no, he felt we needed 2,000 more years of women and babies dying of infection during childbirth, horrifying deaths due to infection from accidents and medicine, dysentery and cholera, etc. And just imagine if he had told us this! Christianity would absolutely look like a god-graced religion, as everyone else was ravaged by infections and diseases, and christians were coasting by on "Blessed are the soap makers", living long, healthy lives. That sort of divine wisdom, 2,000 years before we could actually understand what the root cause was, would have made a lot of our arguments as atheists pretty moot. What did we get instead? "While Jesus was speaking, a Pharisee asked him to dine with him, so he went in and reclined at table. The Pharisee was astonished to see that he did not first wash before dinner. And the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. You fools! Did not he who made the outside make the inside also? But give as alms those things that are within, and behold, everything is clean for you." Thanks Jesus!

Oh yeah, if we're talking about health and science as part of morality, this video would have been infinitely long. How about tipping us off to anesthesia, or just aspirin? Antibiotics? Vaccines? Sterilizing water? This all speaks to what a shit God/Jesus are for allowing us all to suffer for no reason whatsoever. It also makes me very happy to be alive today rather than 2,000 or 20,000 years ago.

I think quoting gJohn is weak. gJohn is pure propaganda and is unrealizable in the extreme ... which is why the evangentials love them some gJohn.

What always stands out to me about Joshua of Nazareth's teachings, as recorded decades later by those who never even knew him, is that he often refers to the "Kingdom of Heaven," indicating that he believed there was a heaven, an afterlife, as well as a king, royalty, a dictator monarch who would rule over everything and anything in that afterlife. Thank Gaia neither exists —or ever will. Poor Joshua was simply a man influenced by the time and customs when he lived —long, long before the enlightenment.
