WOTM: Believing Without Seeing
Why would God use the same methodology as every conman/conwoman on the planet — trust me, bro!? Why would an all-powerful God want anyone to believe on insufficient evidence?
I'm running out of steam gang, And I can't sit much longer. Sorry for the rush. But thank you again — for all your help getting these videos made. Enjoy!!! B

Believing without seeing (in any way) is the opposite to critical thinking.
We should all be from Missouri!
Apologists discussing one book of the Bible will often bring in another to soften or contradict or clarify something they find in the first (but sometimes wish they hadn’t). We see this the other way around in the Doubting Thomas story from John 20. When you bring the book of Matthew into the conversation, you have the zombies from Matthew 27. John tells us that Thomas missed Jesus on Easter Sunday but then saw him a week later and only then believed in the miraculous resurrection after examining Jesus’s wounds. But why would this have been necessary? Matthew 27:50-53 tells us that *many* people were raised from the dead at the moment of Jesus’s death on Friday. If the disciples hadn’t heard this amazing story by Sunday, they and everyone in Jerusalem surely would’ve heard the news a week later. At that time, would Thomas still need proof of Jesus’s resurrection when there were “many” formerly dead people in Jerusalem? How unbelievable would Jesus “Just one more zombie” Christ be then?
I just meant I was running out of steam at that moment. I'd been finalizing these videos (the last two), and in pretty bad back pain all day. It's still not going away either. Looks like I'm gonna be out of steam for a while. D'oh!!!
I’ve never understood what’s so “special” about believing without seeing. Except… it puts money in the conman’s pot.
Wait, what do you mean by “running out of steam,” Brian???
