WOTMQ: I've Evolved
If you haven't had a quickey in a while, you're welcome! š
I was trying to remember if I've ever made a video about evolution, per se, and I don't think I have. I explain why in this video. But I don't really have much to say on the matter in general, which is why this video is a quickey.
BTW, I know that's not the proper spelling of quickey. It was an homage to a Mac app I used religiously (pun intended) back in the day called, "Quickeys."
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! You're all my favorite people ever! Enjoy! B

I made the same decision years ago. The only thing that bothered me was the devolution of the teaching of evolution but then I realized my contribution could only be limited to people that, like you pointed out, have dunce caps on their heads (pun intended) and there were well funded orgs doing all they could eclipsing my mesger influence. (Actually my influence isn't hiding the moon in shadow, it's more like the wolf Fenros actually gobbling it up)
In 25 years of living in the Zion Valley, I don't think I ever knew a YEC Mormon. One of the things I admired about my LDS engineer colleagues was the sturdiness of their shelves. There were so many wild and wacky things piled up there for eventual resolution! But it made for a wonderfully collaborative work environment that was near impossible with evangenitals.
Well, Brian⦠I can relate an instance when the topic of evolution came up in Mormonism. I was leaving on my mission, in the missionary home in SLC, and during that week we all had to go through a temple session. Afterwards, Ezra Taft Benson met with us in the Solemn Assembly Room to reinforce that what we had seen in that (purloined Masonic) ritual about Adam and Eve was god's truth. One of the missionaries, who was braver than me to verbalize what I was thinking, raised his hand and asked: āBut⦠what about evolution?ā Holy Elohim, Benson went practically apoplectic, yelling at the missionary at the top of his voice that it was the false teaching of men and there was not a shred of truth in it. Obviously, I went on my mission, but⦠I never relinquished my personal conviction that evolution was a scientific fact. I had known that since childhood, simply by looking around at the world and all the living organisms in it.
WOW!!! That's a great story! Thanks so much for sharing!
I wasn't 7 cashews into my mixed nuts when you decided to pull the plug on all of human evolution. I call Almondus Interruptus!
A quickie that cuts to the quick!! Excellent, THANKYOU!!
And quickly!!! š
