WOTM: The Values Of The West: Pluralism
We're back to our "Values of the West" series. This time, we're looking at pluralism and the right to worship as one sees fit... or not. This one is a slam dunk.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! Enjoy! B

Those clips were terrifying.
Yeah those Hindu cows can get pretty arrogant.
Pluralism. Hmmm. I would like to think that people should be able to believe whatever they like, but… all too often beliefs spill over from some kind of inner comfort to actual behaviors in this world that affect others. For example, I remember my second daughter expressing a tolerance for anyone else’s belief system, and I had to tell her that there are times when I must draw a line, like with religions in which parents refuse to provide medical treatment to their ill children. Or throwing homosexuals off buildings. Or denying women the same rights as men. Or… marching to Mountain Meadows disguised as Indians. Nope. Hitchins was right: religion poisons everything. All religions.
Yeah, when it switches from beliefs to actions, that's another thing entirely. I can tolerate you THINKING homosexuals should be killed (as horrifying as that is), but once you actually start killing, you gotta go!
Oh well, if we can go back to hating Jews . . .
