Development update - Chapter 1 Part 4B

Hi everyone,

I hope everybody is doing great; I sure do. This week I continued working on Kim's scene. The pace is pretty good; the animations officially started and are looking good. With LEWDs scenes, I often think about what I am going to do, I have something in my brain and when I start to excute it sometimes goes different ways, I always let it happen cause what I am doing feel natural to me and gives the scene a better flow, I did it in Lauren's scene and it seems like people really like it, this is pure art at it best, you know where you are going to start but don't know where it's going to end or how which way the road will take you, but this what most fun about those scenes, and this is what I love to do, and it worked till now, so I am not going to change it now. Two animations are finished, and I've also started posing a new one. I also added more flow renders this week.

Kim won big time. This is funny because this is actually the second time Kim has won around a holiday. Last time it was Christmas.

Personal life

I saved this one for last; you probably felt that I was a bit less active last month. There was a good reason for that: I interviewed for a role at a medium-sized company, passed all five interviews, and got the job. This move was necessary; I need to support my family financially. We are five people, so our expenses are high, and unfortunately, I couldn't release TPOT on Steam when I wanted to, which complicated things. I used to work as a software developer at a very demanding company, a big corporation that paid well but didn't care about me as a person or my personal life at all. My new role is more settled, and during the interviews I felt the people really care about who joins their company, which is what sealed the deal for me. I also said my personal life is very important to me, and I want to see my family at the end of the day, not wake up late at night, and not work evenings after I'm done. So this is great news because now I'll have more money to support the game, and after that I'll release it on Steam; if it is as successful as I hope, I'll consider whether I want to keep this new job. Because as much as I want to be a game developer, I am not making enough (YET) to support my family, so I had to take action. This is the best thing for me right now, and as funny as it may sound, it motivates me even more to finish book 1, but at my own pace, make it perfect, and not rush a release just to release it. So, from now on, it means waking up at 5 am every morning to work on the game before going to work, and working on weekends when I have time. It's like when I worked at my last job, so I am used to that. I still believe in myself and the way I am doing things. This project is much more than just a game to me; it's the way of life I want to live and the pace I want to have. It's been my passion since I was a little kid. Also, it's art. And you can't rush art.
