Development update - Chapter 1 Part 4B
Hi everyone,
This week I continued working on Kim's part of the scene. This week has been quite productive; I created a lot of renders, and we've already reached 200+ renders for this part and hit a specific milestone I've wanted to reach for a long time. I also feel much better now; thank you all for your caring words.
I also needed to add a bit more dialouge that related to the background for our lovely Kimberly, which you'll discover in this part. That's what book 1 is mostly about: introducing the characters and some of their backgrounds and pasts, and revealing the MC's past and issues. All of it sets the ground for the story progression in book 2.

Rating and reviews
So, as you know, my VN is pretty different from what you usually expect in this realm. I know my VN audience is probably more on the mature side of the age spectrum, and the game is probably less appealing to younger audiences (hey, but maybe I am wrong, who knows). It is what it is, and some like it, and some don't. I have a vision, and I am going 100% with it. I know it will attract the right audience in the end. But I still need as many positive reviews as I can until I release the game on Steam. People tend not to use/buy/play things if it doesn't have a high score, although that doesn't necessarily mean the product/game/burger is bad. I am not talking about how it makes a dev feel; I am talking about exposure and a fair starting position between other AVNs. So this is a request to anyone who enjoyed my game and still didn't create a review in GSL to please take 5-10 minutes of your time and help a brother out.

DogCat has already recovered, and pretty quickly 😮👍! Yes, I agree that your visual novel is different from the usual ones in this "category". As you know, I play at a snail's pace 🐌, so I still don't quite understand what your VN is all about. There are some really strange scenes where it seems like the MC has a madman locked inside him or hints at something paranormal brewing. Yet, on the other hand, I see some normal relationships such as Mercy 🤩. This is probably one of the very few times when the initial relationship doesn't bother me. To be continued to me 🤣. I used to think the Gamestorylog site was just for a very few die-hard fans. I visited it to read the monthly magazine they used to publish about this scene, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that you already have 126 reviews with ratings across all the star categories. I can't help out just yet because I want to finish the available content first, just in case I change my mind later on 😅.
Across all star categories... 😕😵 I had a much higher score. It feels like an attack of average/bad and unfair reviews lately. But I can't do anything about it. I just hope people who enjoyed the game will help a solo dev rise.
