Development update - Chapter 1 Part 4B
Hi everyone,
Another hectic week in real life. Next week should be quieter. I'm writing this while listening to a new track I have for the last scene, and I am amazed by it. It fits my vision so well that it's actually touching me; it's like it was created for this specific scene. It hits me hard. I hope it hits you hard, as it has for me, or at least you will enjoy it as much as I do. The hardest part is that I know I'll only use it at the very end of this scene, and I need to wait until everything is ready before rendering the music-related part. Other than that, I find myself putting so much effort into the visuals in this scene. Most people don't realize how many resources wet scenes take from the hardware in terms of RAM and VRAM, and also rendering speed. And that's what I am dealing with every day. But I loved the outcome. I don't want you to think I am whining; I choose to do that. That's my choice. I will give everything I've got, even if it takes longer than expected to bring my vision to life. Sorry for the pace; I wish I could be faster for you guys. I am trying my best. I just want to share it with you. This last scene is ambitious in terms of characters and environment, and it kills my hardware from time to time. I keep closing and reopening Daz to free RAM (cause Daz is unoptimized), and sometimes I can't do anything else while the PC is rendering because it uses all 64 GB of RAM I have. I always push myself to try new things and keep things visually mixed up, so time is the price I have to pay for that. In the future, I will upgrade my machine so I won't have to deal with it.
Other than that, I finished Jisoo's part of the scene, and now I am working on Kim's part. Check the preview if you want to see some progress.

I’m the kind of person who asks a lot of questions, and they usually occur to me while I’m reading these posts. It’s therefore more convenient for me to comment here 😅. First, I'd like to congratulate DogCat on his wealth💰, 64 GB of RAM in 2026 😱! If you managed to get it before the crazy price hikes, then you really nailed the timing. What GPU do you have? Also, I can't believe that 64 GB of RAM isn't enough for Daz, what terrible software 😰! Could development continue using Blender instead? I’m making progress myself and have reached the paranormal section of the game. I’ve decided not to report several issues that I initially noted down, mostly because they involved renders that didn't quite sit right with me initially, but that's probably just me being too nitpicky. However, I am going to pass on my two suggestions and point out a couple of typos on the Discord 😉👍.
Hey pick. I bought it two years ago. Prices were high, but not as high as they are today. I have a 4090. Blender is much more efficient, but Daz creates better photorealistic renders due to Nvidia's IRay engine that interpret the light better IMO. Regarding Blender. I got a question for it in the Q&A. I'll answer in the answers post.
