Development update - Chapter 1 Part 4

Hi everyone,

This week, I started with a new visual challenge POC. Another nice animated Renpy scene that will enhance the game's visual experience. The POC was successful, and I love the result. I always try to challenge myself and make things look dynamic and alive within the limitations of Renpy and AVN in general. I also started to add more characters, and this is where it gets tricky. Although render times are not high, scene load times are high. Loading 4-5 characters with 4K textures and a really big environment is not easy for an average machine. Although I have a great machine, it's hard for it to keep up with what I want to do. If I make a mistake in a render here, it will take me longer than usual to fix it. One thing I know is that, if everything goes according to plan and the Steam release is successful, I'll purchase another PC, stronger than this one, so I won't feel limited. I already updated my system after releasing the first part of book 1. I thought that I won't need to do it again for a long time. But as I did that, I challenged myself to more complex scenes that take a lot of resources, and I don't want to compromise on quality. Other than that, I feel the progress, things are moving, and I am working as hard as I can. This week was my daughter's birthday, and as a family we always spend time together, so one day will be for us, and I won't be able to work.

So I continued, modifying yet another room in this environment and testing the lighting. Now this one I'm really, really excited about, and you will learn why probably next week. If you are a paying supporter, you may have noticed I've been sharing a lot of previews lately. More previews will come next week. Other than that, I worked a bit on a Steam post to help people meet the TPOT cast.
