It's so refreshing to see reactors react to episodes like these in a way that feels connected to the characters and story.
Can we talk about the constant pressure the veteran hunters are putting on Gon and Gon only. They keep telling him to get stronger & take the mission more seriously but I just don’t think they understand Gon never been around this type of environment. (And I just feel like anyone who took the Hunter Exam I guess you can say is not right in the head of some sort because you would have to know it’s some type of life threatening challenge)
I mean the first time he met Killua, Morel was already calling him a failure and telling him to get serious. I think that's just his way of motivating people

I love Milena's love for Killua. Before he even showed up in episode 3, she'd already spent 2 episodes waiting for him to show up because she liked him in the opening and ending 😭
It's a safe assumption to just generalize. We don't want weak nen users just to be killed and get eaten. A safe general assumption to work on. For the rude awakening. They are betting on Netero to still be able to defeat the king. The goal is to draw away the guards. They think that the 3 pairs are pawns to isolate the king and Netero. Also, Netero probably doesn't care too much if some of them die. Par for the course for Hunters. Especially when their entire species is at risk.
Well, it's not that Netero doesn't care if they die, it's that he accepts it as a probable outcome of combat. If you recall way back when Illumi threatened to kill Gon during the hunter exam, even Netero was taken aback by the thought.

It makes me so sad to see gon like this, the amount of rage he carries around, it's terrifying and God how I cried when killua rests her hand on gon's shoulder, he cares so much. 💔 besides, the soundtrack of this arc is so beautiful.
