You compared Dupin to Sherlock at one point which is correct. Poe basically invented the detective fiction genre with Dupin and he was the primary inspiration for Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. In fact, in the first Sherlock story, Watson directly compares Holmes to Dupin.
i appreciate that black sails manifest
I got bored: This is the big Schedule: December - January: Violet Evergarden December - January: The House of Usher December: The Wire December - July: Hunter x Hunter December - April: Black Sails (I'm only pushing it a little) January - June: Ranking of Kings January - March: [ 1 x Week Slot, No Anime ] March - May: Avatar (Netflix) ??? Often recommended 1 x Week Slot shows: Firefly, Sandman, Invincible (Early 2024 = February or March new episodes)
That reminds me to update the spreadsheet, I'll do so prolly after hunter hunter, when they'll be actively looking for recommendations
I think like Roderick says, Napolean's fault was denial and extreme guilt towards his brother Perry. He was the only one in the family that knew that Perry was throwing a party. When they asked who knew, he immediately pointed at Vic and blamed her for not knowing. Ultimately, he didn't kill Perry just like he didn't kill Pluto, but the guilt and drugs made him belligerently violent. As to why Roderick saw Perry, I believe after talking about keeping Juno on Ligodone (which is incredibly dangerous) he imagined his own son's death. Either that, or Perry's ghost is deliberately stopping Roderick from getting any satisfaction from sex. Denying his father's hedonism in death, which is a slightly ironic because Roderick shot down Perry's idea for orgy clubs. Or maybe death gave him perspective and he's looking out for Juno, who's also very young. All of this could just be Roderick's conscience as well. He's the one telling the story. It feels less like karma and more like an ending of a book. They can write a few words, but the inevitably of an end is reality. I guess a more positive version of this theme would be the Sleeping Slaves arc from JoJo.
okay, i put on the intro while i do the dishes and the "you have a gay twitter" took me out. i feel called out too. i have two twitter accounts and i don't know which one is gayer, even if one of them is my personal account where i actually have some family as friends 😂 i imagine my cousins seeing my gay ass tweets and thinking 'just another tuesday'.
that kinda happened to me lol okay, exaggerating a lot but when i was in college and lexa was still like 2/3 years we found a kitten under a car eating rotten bread and we adopted her (after like an hour trying to catch her) we took her to the vet and spent a little fortune. sadly she had a lot of issues and got aggressive as fuck with us and started hiding 24/7 because she hadt anxiety because we were 5 persons and 3 cats in a house. after a year we had to find her another house. she's now thriving with an old lady who moved to germany 😂 story aside this is one of my favourite episodes and the black cat is one of my favourite EAP stories. napoleon really was one of the more decent of the siblings even if he too was a dick. can't watch the reaction now though 😭 i miss your videos but work consumes my life. i think the last one i was able to watch was actually the third of this show.
