The jump they enhanced their legs to physically jump. With this one, Gon is trying to fire aura out and have that push him up without using his body, an emitter attack, which is not his category.
the difference is when jumping, they can already jump really freaking high. the nen enhances that. with the hand, it's purely nen. nothing is helping
Imagine jumping 5 feet without bending your knees or swinging your body up. Stay perfectly still and jump purely by concentrating.
