Bravo boob!
How about you teach us a Serbian Word of the Day in each outro related to the episode you just watched??? :) Might be a fun motif.
No probs editing is a B
Is it just me or is the video not loading?
You have to load it from YouTube by clicking into the link looks like. But it works there for me once I’m signed in.
I like this intro. Obviously I have no idea what you were saying but it sounded fascinating and hilarious. And that was before you switched to Serbian. 😜 Once again, your predictions are interesting and I appreciate how they’re based on a fear of what may happen to your favourite characters. The Wire likes a surprise twist... “Don’t mention it” - Did you catch the double meaning of Mayor Royce’s words to Herc? 😂
The stuff they were talking was probably something they forgot to remove in editing lol
My favorite time is when I find 2 uninterupted hours sit sit and watch your into, then the full reaction (I download and use VLC), then the outro. I've seen the show several times before, but you two have really enriched the characters for me. When I was young we'd all go to a movie, then a cafe afterwards to talk about it...I feel I'm reliving those experiences. Thank you so much.
I feel that. I was part of cinema club in college, and this is a close duplicate of that experience. Having an intimate number of people talking about the artform deeply is so valued.
I don't want to be too specific because of spoilers. But first time you made me cry in the discussion. Thanks, maybe.
Yes, Namond's Mother is GOD AWFUL, and yet there are still characters in this show I hate more than her, one you haven't met yet. The fact that she could just shut a door on a kid is despicable. You really start to understand Namond when you get more of his mother. Dukie will never not be tough to watch, his whole demeanor is just heartbreaking, you could see that even though they are his friends, he still keeps some distance from them because he still feels like an outsider. Everyone from Cutty to Marlo to Bodie noticing Michael's potential was always interesting to me but once I saw his little brother, I just wanted everyone to leave him alone, like this boy has enough on his plate already, like Dukie, Michael's demeanor explains his personality really well, which you gotta give props to these young men that at such a young age, they were able to convey so much with simple body language. Also gotta love Randy and his exceptional work ethic, lol. He may be breaking school rules but it was a very funny moment to see him go to every grade lunches just to sell snacks to everybody.
Was trying to think of a character they haven't been introduced to who might be worse than Namond's mother.... If it's the same person we have in mind then yeah, they're a complete piece of shit.
Do a little Serbian dialogue every time. Loved it.
No when Lola looked at the lens and spoke Serbian it was intimidating 😰😂
Looking back at this season and the type of things that happened on their school.. it really makes me graceful that I went to a decent school. Sure, there was violence once in a while but nothing like this show showed in this episode. Sadly there are kids out there still suffering the consequences of their environment. Lastly I can’t to see how Prez grows as a teacher :))
Namond's mom or the cop who robbed Randy- who is the worst?
You mentioned Band of Brothers, did you ever end up watching "We Stand Alone Together"?
"Guidance Counselors" are who kids talk to in school, If they need to vent or having emotional issues in class or at home, in NYC where I grew up, there were 30+ kids per class -- rotating between English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Gym (Sports/Exercise) classes, so that's a minimum of 150 kids per grade-level. If there's 3 grades (6 to 8th Grade) that's 450 kids per school and maybe 7-8 Guidance Counselors in the entire building to talk to. Some of which aren't going to be good at their jobs, some only show up on a specific day (ex. Mondays or Wednesdays) some of which will just switch schools or flat out quit the job from burnout and/or poor salary).
Snoop, cold blooded psychopath murderer appears on screen - I sleep Namond's mega-bitch mother appears on screen - I rage
Good to know the audio was salvaged, it'd be a tragic loss to deprive the world of a wire review
We would never emotionally recover from that
The 4 boys aren’t in different grades. They are all in 8th grade (that’s why they all have the same shirt colour). The reason they aren’t all in Prez’s classroom first up is because that’s just the Homeroom class at the start of the day. Namond and Michael have a different home room teacher, but you’ll notice that they are all together with Prez for maths class.
Also, gotta give the girls props that there hasn't been a time I can recall for as long as I've been watching them where they just straight-up forgot to record an episode. When you're making six videos a week every week for years on end, you'd think that every so often they would make the honest mistake of forgetting to hit the record button. I know that I would definitely make that mistake 😅
LM "/speaks Serbian" Me, a Golden Retriever "I don't know what's happening but I'm happy to be here!"
Best timing. Thanks for the upload! Looking forward to hearing you guys talk even if we're not seeing it necessarily.
I guess it's a good idea to always have a backup camera for situations like this just in case? I think this happened once before and you used your backup footage, if I recall correctly.
Didn't waste anytime with that thumbnail
