Hisoka and Illumi have one of the most interesting relationships in this whole show. They are both monstrous, murderous psychopaths and yet they actually trust one another and help each other out when one of them needs help. Hisoka did not hesitate to call illumi for help and Illumi did not hesitate to help. As much as I love the core 4 group, I have always enjoyed whenever Hisoka and Illumi were together, their dymanic is very intriguing yet strange, lol.
No I really think it's just what Illumi said, he's known Hisoka longer than Chrollo. Illumi understands the value of allies but his nature limits who he can have as an ally. Him and Hisoka are both sociopaths who's objectives occasionally line up. They both know the other would kill them without hesitation if it would benefit them.

this is one of my favorite episodes of the whole show, just a masterclass in suspense

Great move by Leorio to pretend to have an argument on the phone and letting the boys know about the blackout, I feel like he doesn't get enough credit for his boldness. I'm so proud of him
This was really good! Next arc is criminally underrated. It is super vital to the series. It just unfortunate that it is sandwiched between an S tier arc (Phantom Troupe Arc) and a Triple S Tier arc (Chimara)
I couldn't agree more. People say that the next arc is just okay in comparison with the others, but I think it's really really good, the girls will love it.
Re-watching this arc with you guys made me realize how much the series has come in terms of writing. Some people might dislike the next arc but I can appreciate how the world keeps building on top of these conflicts these characters have. I can’t wait for your reaction of the next episode!
I know it's established that Shizuku has poor memory, but if she'd remembered Leorio, the Troupe would have won then and there. Lucky shave for our boys! Gotta say, I'm not really happy with how the car scene was adapted. Kurapika definitely lost his temper and hit Chrollo many times.

This arc actually ends at 58, so stopping here wasn't the best idea lol.
Pretty sure they watched one more after this, so they ended up stopping at the right place.
