wow the tape at the start got paid off recently in the manga a good 396 chapters in. years later and after a bunch of hiatus by togashi. but im happy to wait for him hes the best writer of villains living today
Hisoka really had to fuck with the program, I love that crazy Murder clown
It's cool that Milena keeps wearing Fleetwood Mac shirts. I think the author of HxH Togashi likes them too. They have a song called Gold Dust Woman and in an upcoming arc there is a card called Gold Dust Girl. I think Hisoka designed the card though.
it's okay if you don't remember phantom troupe members' names if you have an idea of them, just for you to understand who they are talking about when they are mentioned otherwise you'll get confused. If you call Nobunaga "Nobusaka" it's funny and cute and it's totally fine
Akshully it's a major insult to the historic bloodline of Oda Nobunaga. The man who revolutionized warfare in Japan. The fact that the girls can't even remember some basic Sengoku Jidai information is really disrespectful. /s
Damn I remember a long time ago I really disliked hisoka but now I’m starting to really appreciate his character for what he is. He’s gross yes but that’s not his entire identity, he’s complex very interesting and he makes the show fun. Truly a unique villain.
I feel some fans don't appreciate enough moments like that one and I'm glad you loved it, Gon fully understood Kurapika's feelings of emptiness and he immediately showed him another path with his positive energy when he met him. He is indeed an amazing friend
Uvo is the ally that is lonely. Meaning she dead
A story about Meteor City from the manga that would have been in this episode. 10 years before this, a bum with no ID was arrested for murder. They didn't find a trace of him ever existing. The bum said he was from Meteor City and claimed his innocence, but the police prosecuted him anyway and the court found him guilty without giving him an adequate defense. Three years later, a drug addict was arrested, and his past crimes were uncovered. It turned out that the bum was innocent after all. Right afterward, a total of 31 people consisting of the cops, the judge, the prosecutor, his defense, and even the jury and witnesses that were involved in the case, were assassinated by the means of suicide bombings. The message found near what was left of their bodies read: "We'll accept anything you leave here, but don't ever take anything away from us." Their assassins were 31 Meteor City residents with bombs in their pockets, as it was believed. Each of them approached their intended target, offered them a handshake while smiling, and then blew themselves up, at different locations at exactly the same time. The reason is due to the fact that one of their own was unfairly condemned, so 31 of them gave up their lives to take down another 31 in the name of revenge.
I think it's also important to highlight that the 31 people from Meteor were probably strangers to the bum with little/zero connection. It's a culture of committing revenge for your neighbor no matter what if they're wronged. I feel very conflicted about that. Very.
*Milena and Lola last episode*: 'Damn it Hisoka why didn't you call again or text!' *Milena and Lola in this episode*: 'No Hisoka don't call/text Kurapika!'
Hisoka is actually so impressive to come up with that changed poem on the spot
i think i finished this arc in 3 days it was so good
