Jimmy鈥檚 friend is FBI. They have literally had like 4-5 meeting scenes with the FBI in the first 2 series because of that friend 馃槀 PS - Butchie is not Omar鈥檚 uncle - Butchie was talking about the big guy on the chair at the bar when he said he wanted his nephew to take over security.
Yea this episode was a doozy for sure. As much as I liked Frank, he failed so miserably as a father to Ziggy that it was only inevitable that something like this would happen but it doesn't make it any less painful to watch. I also hated how much pressure Frank put on Nick to be Ziggy's keeper so that scene of Nick telling Frank "You're his father!!!" is my FAVORITE scene of this season because it throws it right back in Frank's face about he failed BOTH Nick and Ziggy.
Ziggy鈥檚 a grown ass man. What he did is his fault alone. Frank mentions his other kids earlier in the show but we haven鈥檛 met them since they don鈥檛 work in the docks. It鈥檚 clear there were other avenues for Ziggy to go but he was just too lazy or incompetent to try.

"Bunk looks ridiculous and I can't even laugh" I really like how you understand how Ziggy came to this dark place and still shocked you to the point where you couldn't even concentrate on anything else. "You don't know? You're supposed to know, your his fucking cousin!" "... You're his father" In an episode filled with great moments (we even had Omar petting a dog for christ sake lol) that exchange was my favorite part

I liked Lola's "Cheese has a forgettable face" comment. At the time The Wire came out Method Man was probably more famous than any other actor in the show.

Valchek is a major, same rank as Rawls. Burell is his superior as the police commissioner. But Valchek is politically connected and helped Burrell get promoted from deputy police commissioner to police commissioner. He runs around like he owns the place as Burell "owes" him.
ASAC stands for Assistant Special Agent in Charge. Most Federal agencies have ASACs that head up certain investigations. Hank in BB was the ASAC of the Gus Fring investigation for the DEA. The FBI, ATF, and other federal agencies have similar structures.
