Long time bartender -- literally anyone who has worked at a restaurant will tell you that brunch in terms of service is a nightmare, literally no one wants to work brunch, it's universally the worst shift in a restaurant and customers suck for that time of day.

I just watched the second half of season 2, and the show went from amazing to truly special!

I'm in awe of how good it was. I've watched a few specific episodes three times already.

"No no, I was in a brigade once" "What happened?" "... many people died" That made me laugh, really loving the humor in this show

it's so funny. Ebra is an older Somali guy in the show so I fully believe him when he says that 😂

Milena, I feel like Lola always gets most of the praise (Lola is my spirit animal so not trying to diss her) but you’re amazing at what you do as well and are always accurate with your predictions and I agree with your opinions/instinct most of the time in multiple shows, I love watching you two enjoy my favorite shows❤️

So from what I read from people working in this industry, the hatred of brunch comes from the fact that the busiest time for a restaurant is saturday evenings and the most popular time for brunch is sunday afternoon. So you're completely knackered from the busiest night of the week and the next day you have to run an entirely different menu for a ton of people that are also typically drinking, so brunch is not well liked.

can confirm from working sunday brunch after a busy saturday lmao

great ep, great reaction! Agree with Lola that the soundtrack bangs, and agree with Milena that Carmy's arms could support a large quantity of stock 👀 The Al-Anon family group Carmy attends is for family members of all types of addicts, not just alcoholics. While each substance addiction is unique, they share enough for their to be one meeting for all the family. I looove the scene between Sydney and Carmy, how open they are. There's 0% chance the restaurant would work if Carmy was overly defensive here, or if Sydney wasn't willing to try it (even knowing it would suck). All the performances in the show are so natural and real, reminds me of Succession in that sense.

carmy is giving major kendall roy vibes looking at the water the actor who plays marcus (lionel boyce) used to be part of tyler the creator’s old hip hop group Odd Future. cool to see him shine in a role like this
