I know you prob have gotten this a lot, but HxH came out over a decade before AOT. I think the mangaka for Attack on Titan was heavily influenced by the phantoms troupe’s designs
ABOUT THE VIOLENT SCENES the anime follows the manga of the mangaka, and it's edited in some scenes like when killua kills the two guys in the airship, in the manga you see he cuts them in little square pieces, in the anime he just cut their heads off for example but the story is the same in the anime and the manga

Milena is right about Feitan, he uses the same ability of Killua...it's an assassin's ability. There are theories on the web about Feitan being related to Killua or coming from a different assassins' family but nothing confirmed
I never heard those theories but they don't make sense to me. Canary also knows an assassin technique, the shadow step or whatever it's called. She said she learned it where she came from which is the same place Feitan and all original Troupe members come from. And this was never said but I know in my heart that the Zoldycks would never abandon family or let another assassin family exist. At least not one that would compete with them.

We know for sure that the vacuum girl (Shizuku) didn't participate in Kurta's massacre because she is a recent member like Hisoka

I remember you girls saying in the first episodes that you were glad to finally be watching something light and happy lol, the Hunter Exam Arc is really just an introduction.
I guess I never noticed how "funny" the nen powers of the women in this show are until you guys brought it up. But now that I'm thinking about it I can't think of one that isn't funny like that.

The show respects it's audience, so many details of an indivual's nen are shown instead of explained. As you get to know Shizuku you'll be able to infer from her personality how her vacuum works
"Where it goes" is a smart thing to ask. I bet Hisoka wondered the same thing when he saw the vacuum Hatsu. These type of questions are what make the difference between your Leorios and your Killuas.
FUN FACT: that strongest troupe member (Uvogin)'s voice actor, Akio Ōtsuka, is the same as the guy who voices Thorkell in Vinland Saga, who also prides himself in being the strongest!
You should legit consider watching this show in batch of two episodes (2x2 episodes, so 4 episodes a week). Most reaction channels watch two episodes and post them together. You wouldn't have to react after each episodes, but only after both of them have being watched. Not only would it be more enjoyable for you (not having to wait so much for cliffhangers), it will also be great for your viewers who also like to see more of your reactions and it would also be great for your followers that aren't big fans of Hunter X Hunter and that will have to wait 1.5 years for you to complete the series. It's basically a win/win/win situation.

I was one of the people who mentioned the censorship thing back then, and it was in fact because of the time it was airing. As you guessed, this is no longer in effect and there will be plenty more blood and gore from now on lol.
Shizuku's Nen ability is so cool, it's one I would legitimately want if Nen was real.
the vacuum creates extra dimensional space. there is a character later that has a similar ability to create spaces.

I'm leaning more towards him being a very gifted specialist
One of the great things about HxH is how often it challenges you and makes you shift your views on characters. No doubt your views on the Phantom Troupe will shift multiple times! And the people they're killing here all mafia members who they themselves do very bad things but you also grow to like some members or people that work for them (like Melody). There are so many characters in this show you will in one moment revile them and then in another kind of root for or at least are entertained by them. Its one of the things that really sets HxH apart and makes its early beginnings so deceptive. It seems like a nice, lighter shounen and then really starts to push your buttons and never stops. There will be so many more points in which you wonder if this is the same show you were watching in the first 40 episodes.

I don't understand these comments. Just in the exam Killua murdered 4 people, one let him covered in blood and from another one he took the heart. Hisoka cuts of the head of many people during the exam and in heaven's arena he kills that guy by stabbing several cards strengthened with nen and making him dance...we also see Mike leaving just bones of 2 men, it's not like we started to see violent deaths in this episode

Hisoka in the anime turned some dude's arm into the flower petals at the very beginning of the anime, but sliced them off with card in the manga. He was also the aggressor when they were running around the swamp murdering people for fun. He didn't get ambushed like in the show. Glasses girl(Shizuku) was the other example of a Conjuror along with Kurapika when you got previews of who was what type around episode 39-40. We don't really know where her vacuum sends stuff. Manga has little notes that even she doesn't know. Don't remember if we get a Hunterpedia that tells us so. Feitan(Levi) didn't kill that guy in the manga. Franklin just shot the dying guy into pieces while Feitan said the same thing about what's family.
This anime can get really dark sometimes. I do know the manga is a bit more explicit and more detail when it comes to the violence. Also, is it spoilers if we explain their abilities like the vacuum to the girls? Just wondering what other thinks lol
