Demon Slayer? It's a great show and the animation best out there. People are hating on the show bc of how popular it is, so its part of that overhyped category.
I think the opposite, people are suggesting it because how popular it is. In my opinion the plot is boring and predictable, the main character is boring too and I think it is popular in Japan because it has many references to japanese culture so when I see european people going crazy about it I think either they didn't watch many anime or they are just influenced by its popularity

I’m in the same boat. It’s the same thing with people recommending Berserk. Both are deep and phenomenally written. But both are pretty gorey and over the top. If fans wanted another deep anime to recommend I would’ve wished for Monster. Which I think the girls would’ve LOVED.

I'm still surprised that Spy x Family was added, the only reason I can think of as to why this was suggested, I recall Milena complaining how she wanted to watch something happy and this anime pretty much nails that. As much as I want Violet Evergarden, SxF took my vote in consideration of her. Yes there are many well written stories more deserving imo, but this show is such a breath of fresh air and I think they deserve something different for once. Nothing too sad or heavy, too deep or mind-boggling, just a wholesome series they can relax and enjoy. It will make for such cute reactions like how they adore Gon & Killua. Yet they must accede the majority, given the type of audience we have here, highly doubt it will ever get chosen.. seeing the other anime suggestions though, an amazing experience awaits them either way. Win-win.

I have only seen Violet Evergarden of these. The only one that I think I'd be uninterested in is Spy x Family. Would watch the others with the girls if they picked them up.

Interesting choices, me personally I would think that Violet Evergarden would be something thats definitely right up their alley and something they would love more than anything. Even Ranking of Kings would be something that would be more according to their tastes. Ive watch Cyberpunk and I particualry didnt care much for it, it was just one of those "it was alright" type of shows. But I suppose a large part of the audience that watch LM perhaps dont watch niche anime like violet evergarden or Your Lie in April and so the more "actiony" type of shows like cyberpunk may win in the poll. Also them watching violet evergarden would be a nice change in genre in regards to anime as it is a more human and personal story driven show that they would love instead of the same old "actiony" and superpowers type of show.

I’m shocked I haven’t seen anyone suggest code geass so I’ll be the first. The story and and characters are great and the way they battled and disagree on how the world can be a better place would make the girl’s discussions very good and interesting. Also code geass for sure inspired many big animes that came out after it, the moral ambiguity is what makes it great and the show is not long. (In my opinion)
oh its been suggested plenty of times. And honestly considering how much they hated the way Misa's character was written in Death Note, I don't think they'll take too kindly to all the male fan service in that show. (Unless I'm confusing it with another show, since I've seen it long ago.)

a few things about cyberpunk edgerunner before starting the first reaction ((NO SPOILERS)) The dub is probably the better option not only for quality but it also adds accent to some of the characters and because of how the show was made the dub and sub (i believe) should be closer to other anime. Be aware of the fact that causal and noncausal nudity is in the show, mainly because the world it takes place in is canonically more open about it. I tell you this so you can decide on how it will be handled in editing after.

I think you guys would enjoy Promised Neverland season 1. Unfortunately they made a second season that wasn't up to par.
Cyberpunk is beautiful, amazing characters, and you guys will love their relationships. I must recommend you watch the dub. The show takes place in California, there is English, Japanese, and Spanish language all spoken as well as a lot of lingo/slang. In the Japanese version this is all missed - it's all spoken Japanese and most of the slang does not come across. English VA is also amazing, includes Giancarlo Esposito (Gus from BB/BCS) and a few of the great VAs from the video game! And for everyone not so excited about it, it's only 10 episodes!

I feel like votes are splitting in this poll. Reminds me a bit of a country with one big conservative party and 4 small left-wing parties. The 4 small ones have more combined, but the conservative party wins. :D But I also have to say that I'm happy with all 5 and Cyberpunk with 10 episodes is a nice little show for 2.5 months. This is not like Vinland Saga a thing for 9 months or with Hunter x Hunter for a total of 18 months.

I voted for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners because it's the anime that will extract the most tears from you. :D Also, if you do react to the series, before you start it, you should watch the music video Let You Down. It's a short story that serves as a prequel to the anime, and it would be a great appetizer for what's to come.

I honestly don't see the two enjoying Cyberpunk. Way too much 'fan-service' in there. That show is entirely uncapable of not undressing their female characters for 2 minutes straight.
*SPOILER* I wouldn't call it fan service... The world of Cyberpunk is just extremely sexual and chilling around butt naked is almost normal. David is shown just hanging around naked all the time but they can't really show genitals flailing around so the only nudity you ever end up seeing is just boobs lmfao.
Gonna suggest Beserk (1997), but its kinda brutal and have a few trigger warnings....

Yes! the girls watch a longer episode 2 times per week and one shorter once a week. So they put those shows in the poll because the length. If Cyberpunk won they literally will end the show in 8 weeks, so it's very short amount of time lol

Unpopular recommendation, but it would be nice to see them watch made in abyss one day. However I'm not complaining. They are watching some of my favorite shows already so I'm glad we, or at least I, am getting mostly everything that I want and from the best reactors. I remember being so excited when I discovered them and saw hxh which I was literally hoping they would watch (this was b4 I even became a patron lol). Anyways, no matter what is picked, I will always be sticking around since even for shows I don't watch, you guys get so invested in them that I feel like it would be a waste not to watch along. I've never watched edgerunners but I know it's short and highly praised so honestly I'm excited even if ranking of kings doesn't win.

Don’t think they’ve reacted to a slice of life show like Spy x Family before, it’d be a nice change of pace for them. Ranking of Kings is pretty good with amazing animation; but the second half leaves a LOT to be desired story-wise.
Cyberpunk is definitely winning this. After that, I'm really hoping somehow by the graces of some higher beings, they get to react to Spy x Family just before S2 in October, then they can ride along the trend of the current airings. This show will give these girls such insane serotonin.

I completely agree here. All of them are very good and I would be happy with any of them, but there are clearly preferences. I would definitely go for Violet Evergarden, Your Lie in April, and Spy x Family instead of the other two to bring variety to the type of anime.

I’m realizing none of your viewers are long time anime fans so niche shows will never have a chance Another, Death Parade, and even Elfin Lied all shows with great premises and themes but no one who’s watching anime now will know anything about these shows so they are unlikely to be reacted to they never got the following shows like code geass and death note so no one’s really heard of them
no please, these girls will be traumatized forever if they watch Elfin Lied, and death parade is not an anime to watch absolutely, it's not a bad anime, but nothing special in my opinion, still better than demon slayer and the crap they're doing in these years
Cyberpunk is a good 10 episode anime with great artstyle and animation, and a nice story of a teenager from a poor household in a turbo-capitalist (American) world. They might like it, but it certainly won't blow them away. A "nice to have seen" will probably be it in the end. I would have preferred Spy x Family, Your Lie in April and Violet Evergarden to give them something completely different in the anime genre. I don't want it to be so monotonous for them. Always having teenagers with powers fighting "evil" can get boring too. Vinland Saga already went a step outside of this anime group. I would have liked to go completely out for an anime. Especially A Place Further Than the Universe would have been a really nice change. 🥺

Honestly my choice from these 5 would be Violet Evergarden as it’s higher up in my favourite shows than the other 4. But wouldn’t mind Cyberpunk or Ranking of Kings at all! As long as it’s not SxF I’m good 😄 No offense to anyone who loves that show I just didn’t vibe with it at all sadly.
With the exception of episode 8 and 9, Spy x Family was a very good episodic anime in my opinion. I just love the characters and Anya. She is just the best kid ever.

CYBERPUNK LETS GOOOOO. My personal AOTY for last year and an honestly incredible show that any anime fan needs to watch. It's only 10 episodes long but exudes so much style and passion it's almost ridiculous. Plus, it also contains one of my favourite anime episodes of all time... If it does end up winning, you guys should watch it in dub. There is absolutely nothing wrong with sub but for reasons that I cannot reveal I guarantee that most people here want you to watch it in dub lol.

Cyberpunk Dub
Cyberpunk Edgerunners needs to be the dubbed version in my opinion. I first watched the sub and it was great but I felt I missed a lot of stuff while reading subtitles. Then I realized the dub is crazy good and after rewatching it dubbed I liked the show even more.

Cyberpunk is so overrated to me it was good up until a certain episode and then the quality just plummets and to top it all of its so easy to predict what’s gonna happen. I really don’t see all the hype for the show
The story is obvious it's not complicated.So you're not gonna make theories and discussions about the many secrets and lore. But that's not the reason why it's good it's more the emotions and how it make you feel during and afterwards. It's a human story first and futuristic si-fi story second
