I know a lot of people already said that, but I need to say as well, don't get me wrong, I love HxH 2011, but Kurapika arc in the 99 is pure art, it def deserve a watch for those who already watched the remake.

The first time I've seen anyone call Kurapika their "sunshine" 😅. I mean... sure. Kurapika is entirely driven by revenge.

Would you like to know the details of the Kurta massacre? I find it really helps understand Kurapika's motivations and character which is why it's a shame it wasn't in the anime! Not who or why but specifically how they were killed to ensure the Red Hue. It's unfortunately never addressed in the anime and i doubt it will because of how sad and graphic it is. ----FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW THE DETAILS IF NOT AVOID thx. ----The Phantom Troupe massacred all 128 villagers of the Kurta clan. Apparently "family members were made to face one another and stabbed multiple times, with their heads severed while they were still alive. Pure clan members had their eyes gouged out, while those who married into the clan had their eyes squashed and sustained more brutal wounds than the others. The adult males had the most wounds, but it's assumed that these were sustained during a struggle before they were captured. Those who were not related by blood to the clan were said to be mutilated in order to set an example.. Since the scarlet color is caused by anger and makes the eyes more valuable, it's reported that the Troupe members mutilated the children in front of their parents in order to intensify the scarlet color. Lastly, a message was left behind that read: "We'll accept anything you leave here, but don't ever take anything away from us." "

We finally get to meet the Kurapika Crew. Some of the deepest characters with really cool action scenes.

this arc is soooo good but its not my number 1 favorite!! still this is easily one of the best arcs in anime

Also, the girl shown as a specialist in the intro is not Machi (the girl that sew Hisoka's wound). Since you were wondering about it, Machi is actually a transmuter, not a specialist.

Wait. Girls didn't Notice voice of zeke in this episode? Takehito koyasu(it's the voice actor's name) has one of the most unique voices. I can recognize it in an instant anywhere. 😂 He has voiced over 500 characters in his whole career.

I think Milena said someone was a manipulator that we have seen. Yeah you were right it was zushi.

Here we go! Official start of the new arc. You girls are not prepared -- in the best way.

I think it is interesting that because Nen abilities are sorta a small window into a person's life, an intelligent person would be able to see a little the meaning of chains (or any ability really). You gotta complete a lot of certain step in your life to make that specific decision.

You guys are going to love this arc so much.

This is one of the few areas that the manga, 1999, and 2011 version all did differently! I believe both anime adaptations succeeded here for different reasons.
