Poll + new show suggestions

I highly recommend Succession.

Just wanted to hop in and suggest Haikyuu, I've been a fan for a long time, tho i just joined patreon hehe, and I believe this show will bring joy to your lives. If you're looking for a lighthearted but passionate show, where i guarantee you will love every single character... haikyuu is for you. Oh and non anime, I would suggest alice in borderland, it is a live adaptation from a manga, and though i think it is different from anything ive seen you guys react, I still believe you will really like it, makes you theorize and crack your brain.

I'd like to nominate Cyberpunk Edgerunners (anime, 10 episodes), or Pachinko (live action, 8 episodes, season 2 has been announced/in production just now). The latter particularly is very underrated and very emotional.

I recommend you mix it up and watch a combination of short and long shows. In that way, the short ones give variety to the channel.

The two of you should watch either Code Geass or Fruits Basket. It’s already finished and a very good story.

For a longer show, I recommend Person of Interest. 103 episodes. It will at first feel like a crime procedural, but then expands into something much bigger. Has some great characters and a great rogues gallery of villains, especially ones that get introduced later.

Firefly is SO GOOD and SO WORTH IT i swear

i suggest short anime: Violet Evergarden, it's only 12 eps and a movie as a continuation. pretty short (there's also another film but it's like a filler, not related to the main story) another short anime that no one recommended is Buddy Daddies, it's only 12 eps, but it's such a wholesome funny anime that has action mixed with it, both animes are completed btw. last suggestion, it's not an anime reaction, but an opening reaction, these are very popular on youtube and it only takes one video, i really hope you guys give it a try by reacting to One Piece Openings :')

Shorter: Chernobly, Monster, Steins Gate Longer: Haikyu!! would be a wholesome show for you girls

Castlevania is an amazing show with great animation, a classic story with utterly unique characters

“ANOTHER” IS AN AMAZING SHORT ANIME WITH A MYSTERY I KNOW YOU GUYS LIKE MYSTERIES. Sorry for caps but not retyping lol “Death Parade” is another short but entertaining anime

I would vote for either Wednesday 8 episodes on Netflix or Legend of Vox Machina 24 episodes on Prime, both are very fun to watch.

For a short live action show, The Resort came outta nowhere and really made an impact on me.. I havent really seen anyone talk about it but I think ya'll would get hit just as hard. Another short and incredible show would be Devs.

Demon Slayer is popular but one ep a week may not be best, especially if others are currently reaction to weekly episodes of season 3. I just watch the first episode of Oshi No Ko. Great first episode, lot of range of emotions. Don't know what to expect ep 2. Only a few episodes have aired. I actually subcribe to HIDIVE, probably would be more well known if it was on crunchyroll.

86, Demon Slayer or Steins;Gate

Your lie in April, cyber punk edgerunners or steins gate.

I think you guys might really enjoy The Mandalorian.

Well since you mentioned Firefly, I'll just second that :D

Firefly is one of my favorite shows of all time. Or The Leftovers is you haven’t watched it. 3 seasons of perfection.

hasckaw ridge it,s awesome

CHAINSAW MAAAAN

chernobyl would be a cool short show

For a short show I'll suggest BEEF on Netflix

Short: Jujutsu Kaisen

Short: Chainsaw Man, The Pacific Long: Money Heist Korean version

Fleabag is such a good show.

Dayam almost 400 comments

Vote from me for Chernobyl. I thought they had seen it already but apparently not. A perfect choice for a short show. It's often lauded as the best single season show alongside Band of Brothers.

I'm assuming this post is mainly for live-action shows and for that I suggest The Good Place because it's completely finished and is fantastic. But, if you're looking for any animated shows, both The Owl House and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power are finished and also great.

Love, death, and robots.

Keep Your Hand Off Eizouken! (Only 12 episodes)

Chernobyl is only 5 episodes

The Good Place

ODDTAXI (13 episodes)

You should watch Midnight Mass. It's by the same guy who did Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor. Also another recommendation for Barry. Neither the seasons or episodes are long so won't take too much to get through

Sons of anarchy

Love Death and Robots!!

There are good shows in both categories, but a short series doesn't tie up your channel for so long... Queen's Gambit, Firefly, Chernobyl

SUCCESSION

Still gonna recommend Midnight Mass. 7 episodes. It's my personal favorite of Flannigan's shows.

You have probably already considered this before, but you might do some movies. The upside is that you can stop at any time. The downside is that they are usually much longer, so you probably don't have the time.

I recommend demon slayer. I'm on season 3 now and it feels great.

If a short series ends up winning the poll, for an anime i highly recommend “Bocchi the Rock”, pretty recent 12 episode series that is an endearing, feel good, and funny show with great animation and music too. For a short live action show, i’ve seen “Firefly” be suggested and that is a great short 13 episode scifi series. Ya cant go wrong with these two suggestions 😉

made in abyss, 25 episodes give or take and a movie. short and sweet anime

Leon's TV suggestions from Mr. Robot!

short: cyberpunk edgerunners

Something I could say for Black Sails is that my girlfriend had absolutely 0 interest and knowledge for all things pirate, but upon seeing this show, she easily put it at her top 5 shows of all time. I'm sure the same will happen for you two if you choose it! Excited for whatever you pick!

BLACK SAILS is a must watch. I’m sure it will end up in your top 5 favorite shows. 😍🔥🔥

movies. Your Name

i honestly think you guys will love moriarty the patriot

short show: steins gate (anime, this was the highest rated anime of the 2010s along with fma brotherhood) long show: black sails (live action, this is blindwaves favorite show theyve reacted to!) both these suggestions have a prominent female cast.

chainsaw man

Konosuba! Short + Hilarious anime

i would like to suggest severance, only one season so far but its great

Out of the box answer: LM Movie Night. Some beloved movies if you haven't seen them: Forrest Gump / The Shawshank Redemption / Good Will Hunting / A League of Their Own / My Girl / Silence of the Lambs / Saving Private Ryan / Back to the Future / Braveheart / Gladiator / Rocky / / The Fugitive / The Thing (1982)

Personally I prefer shorter shows. That being said, in terms of live action shows, unless you're watching something like Doctor Who I don't really consider shows that are around 30-40 episodes "Longer" shows. BTW Barry is AMAZING and I am sure you girls would love it. IMO it is up there with Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Monster

Clannad is another good one.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners(DUB), 12 Monkeys, or Hannibal.

I'm surprised people are voting shorter. I think it's good though. The problem with long shows is the commitment, which could pose an issue if it spills into future commitments with ongoing shows. Going off of TeaDrinker's spreadsheet: - Attack on Titan (Late 2023) - Arcane (≥2024) - Black Mirror (Mid 2023) - House of the Dragon (≥2024) - Invincible (Late 2023) - Stranger Things (≥2024) - The Boys (≥Late 2023) - The Last of Us (≥2024) - The Rings of Power (≥2024) - Vinland Saga (?) I just put all the shows they've reacted to that are incomplete. I don't know all the details of which ones they said they have or haven't continuing, but this is just a list to highlight the shows A lot of these actually seem to be in 2024 or later. So as long as it's not LONG, long shows, you'll probably be fine. But there's also the factor of not just upcoming continuations but you wanting to start new shows, so having a big commitment can be irritating in that way.

haikyuu i beg :,)

Peaky Blinders? Even though that one is pretty long. The Glory is a pretty good choice as well.

Big fan of Firefly. I also concur with many other that you NEED to watch Severance. Such a great show!

one piece once a week so you have a forever show u can always look forward to and never worry about it ending :) but actually maybe a starwars show like andor?

Steins Gate

It would mean the WORLD to me if you girls watched 👑🗡️RANKING OF KINGS💎🐍

I'm still working on getting this finalised by the weekend with some small tweaks, but if anyone is interested in seeing a comprehensive list of what the girls have/haven't seen, here you go: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15H4Q4j_in5l02iWMWCcnf8KiHiXOv-C4D1_pS9gV_zg/edit?usp=sharing

I definitely think Barry is a great pick, although do be aware that it can get pretty stressful and depressing at times. Fargo is also a really underrated pick imo. And in terms of anime, I'm not sure why I never really see Spy x Family, Ranking of Kings, and Kaguya-sama recommended, I feel like those would all be lovely. And of course, gotta mention Black Sails even though I haven't seen it, just out of pity for the fans lol.

Watchmen would be great for a short show. only 1 season, and I think they would love it.

Oh damn, I forgot Chernobyl was a series. Girls, do Chernobyl for the short show!

Firefly for sure for a short show its only 1 season and a movie . After that you could always go with something with maybe 2-4 seasons .

what about succession?

anime: demon slayer (shorter), monster(long), heavenly delusion (shorter), or more HxH Live action: Black Sails ( it would be amazing but I understand if more time is needed)

have they watched peaky blinders yet?

I agree with "Your Lie in April" mentioned above, but if not that show, the "The Pacific" is the same concept as "Band of Brothers", but for the Pacific theater of the war instead of the European theater. It's a 10 episode HBO mini series made by the same people as "Band of Brothers".

Beef on Netflix is really good

for short shows, fargo s1-3, each season is its own story you could do 1 season. or queens gambit 1 season show.

Short series FTW

Go with Firefly. Great characters, great conclusion. Whedon could always give you a season of pure gold.

Not entirely sure what you guys would consider a short show but Tower Of God only has one season as of now (I believe they announced the second season was coming in the next year or so). 13 Episodes.

Oshi no ko, chainsaw man

I would like a short series like THE OA (2016)

A bit of a longer show but I think Monster is the most appropriate show given your guys’ taste. It’s very much has that same “art house” vibe that Vinland gives but has the thriller/mystery style of “breadcrumbs leading to grand reveals” that AoT does. It also has arguably the best written anime antagonist of all time. He’s iconic in the world of Anime. It’s phenomenal. I hope you guys get to see it someday if you haven’t.

Shorter : Tower of God ? Season 2 is coming this year so...

Your lie in april ONLY 22 episodes of 20 minutes and is BEAUTIFUL

Shorter, Steins Gate

Suggestions: - True Detective (Season 1) - Ted Lasso - Devs - The Little Drummer Girl - The Night Manager - Chainsaw Man - Castlevania

Its obviously time for a FRIENDS rewatch huehuehue. Seriously tho, Chernobyl its just 5 episodes and its from the showrunner of The Last Of Us. Really well made.

New subscriber here. Short (11 episodes currently airing): Oshi no Ko. its a new series that right now is number 1 on Myanimelist , with a 1 hour long first episode that in my opinion is the greatest start to a series in all anime history

Ooooooh this is a TOUGH one ladies….. on one hand I am still holding out hope for Black Sails, on the other hand I do feel like a shorter show is a better decision right now considering you guys just started The Wire and that’s already a pretty long show. Also Firefly and Sandman are both amazing shows that I know you guys would love or anything else that you guys might put on the poll because you ladies have great taste. Honestly I’m okay with either TBH, so I’m happy with whichever wins.

If you are going for short shows, I'd suggest: - Queen's Gambit - Firefly - Sherlock (BBC) - Mindhunter (2 seasons) - Black Mirror (Maybe some specific episodes only) - True Detective (S1 only) - Bodyguard - Devs - Flesh and Bone

86 has such a good ending too

Long-time supporter of Buffy the Vampire Slayer if you haven't seen it!

Going off my assumption that you're only looking for live action right now, I've made a list of shows requests.  Hopefully I didn't include anything that you've already seen. - Community - Nurse Jackie - Gotham - Lost - Twilight Zone (1959) - Good Place - Sisyphus: The Myth

I feel like 50% of patreon members want them to watch anime shows and another 50% want them to watch live-action shows. Personally what I've seen and read from these comments is that a large majority of members are suggesting [Barry] which is a live-action show.

Live action: Beef or You / Anime: Code Geass or Demon Slayer (tbh demon slayer not a rly fav of mine but its popular so itll bring views lol)

Watch Mad Men PLEASE

I mean if you're gonna watch Firefly might as well watch Cowboy Bebop... just saying

Demon Slayer is a great show

Would love to see Barry!

they need to see 86!!! 24 episodes similar in some tones to AoT they would love it.

Chernobyl. 5 episodes of perfection.

Can you please react to the original charmed tv show 🥺

THE LITTLE DRUMMER GIRL PLEASE :)

Oshi No Ko 😅

Longer shows- Cobra Kai, Stranger Things,American Horror Story, Black Sails, Gravity Falls Shorter Shows- Euphoria, The end of the fucking world, Black Summer Anime’s- Fate/Zero,Steins;Gate, Demon Slayer These are all amazing shows youguys Would really like you Could look into anyof these and see if it’s Something y’all are Interested in to put on a poll love you guys❤️😁

Steins Gate and Erased

BARRY or Andor would be awesome

I really think you guys would love the last kingdom, it’s five seasons and a movie but the seasons are on the shorter side, I think the first 2 seasons only have 8 episodes and then they go up to 10 episodes per season

either works for me if i'm being honest

Cyberpunk Edgerunners or Chernobyl if it's live action only

Parasyte is good short anime

Bojack Horseman (this is seriously an amazing show) Beef Cowboy Bebop Castlevania Arrested Development Big Mouth The Dragon Prince

Man Black Sails just can’t catch a break 😅

i think you will chose a new anime when Vinland ends but i have to remind you MONSTER 🔥(+70 eps is shorter or longer?)

For a short show maybe castlevania or the judge or severance or Andor

The GOOD PLACE is exactly the kind of show I think you would like: good writing, funny, great ending

Demon slayer!

I'm not sure If it's been suggested before, or If they've watched it already away from the channel/patreon but THE KNICK is an excellent show.

Short: 1883. from Yellowstone series. And .1923

For a short series i highly recommend reacting to Cowboy Bebop. It’s overall just a classic anime that many people would say is necessary to watch at some point.

Short: mindhunter

I think yous would like Tower Of God

For short you should definitely consider 86, it's only 23 episodes and it's a complete story. It's divided into part A and B but it is such a great story and it's absolutely something you would enjoy.

Im not sure if anime is included in this poll but im gonna once again suggest spyxfamily. Season 2 is coming out this fall its so wholesome and funny and I think you guys would love that. I dont watch too many live action shows so I dont really have an opinion either way except Black sails was one I did enjoy. Another anime I would suggest is demon slayer <3

Longer: Spy X Family

You know what, for the sake of getting this out of the way and making them people happy .. you should react to black sails. I haven’t watch that show but it seems there is a fandom of people out there for that show.

Barry would be perfect for them but looks like short shows winning. Oh well. I watched Sandman it was fine but personally think it’s very overrated. Fell off hard in the second half of the season. Probably will win the poll though because it’s pretty popular and recency bias and all. The Bear, Beef, or Midnight Mass would all be much better. Also reminder: both Invincible and The Boys should be returning either this fall or early next year.

Steins Gate please

If short show is actually gonna win then +1 for The Bear, it was great TV

If shorter wins then I'd recommend Alice In Borderland, if it hasn't already been watched. Otherwise I'd suggest Midnight Mass, to keep sand_fl happy ^_^

Did you guys already watch Chernobyl? It’s an HBO show and it’s only like 8 episodes.

Mushoku Tensei plz plz <3 <3

Could you please consider putting Firefly on the poll? Its 15 episodes plus a movie. It's considered one of the best sci-fi shows. It's also literally got everything you're looking for. Great relationships, sibling stuff, found family stuff, wholesome, funny, list goes on :). Anybody else with me?

My other suggestions is an anime called Eighty-Six, I think that anyone who really loved AOT could love that

The first season of true detective

Please watch Violet Evergarden 😭 It's like 12 episodes and there's is a 1 hr and a half movie to end it off

Ted Lasso pleaseeee

I much prefer short shows, longer ones go on forever. By short do you mean 2 seasons? In my opinion 2 seasons is short, any more is longer

Demon Slayer

i think it would be great to have more episodes of hxh in this time slot, if its not possible, i would suggest something like demon slayer, which is quite short and is very popular at the moment.

I'm seeing recommendations for both live action and animated shows in the comments section. Am I correct in thinking that this particular poll is for live action shows only? Based on the show examples in your post (Sandman, Firefly, Black Sails, and Barry), I'm thinking this slot is for live action, but I wanted to confirm.

Demon slayer please!!!!!!

I really want Black Sails but Sandman would also be awesome.

Really recommend the show Beef on Netflix. It's new, funny, emotional and would suit you guys and it's only 10 episodes. Steven Yeun is one of the main cast and you guys probably seen him in the walking dead as Glen or as the voice actor for Mark Grayson in Invincibles

I feel like shorter is better, but that being said I seriously want to see you react to Barry.

Steins gate

Succession would be amazing

the bear (only 8eps) is something they’d love i think. its a character focused drama, it stars the guy from Shameless, bob odenkirk will be in season 2 ( coming out this summer). thats my pitch!

Definitely shorter. I think it's a good idea to leave a slot fairly flexible in case a new show makes big waves or something makes an unexpectedly quick return like Invincible S2 *hint hint

I don't know if stand-alone seasons like in Fargo and True Detective could be considered as short shows with each season getting it's own vote, but anyhow I'm rooting for Fargo and True Detective (season 1 mostly) as a short show! Oh, and voicing my support for Ranking of Kings and Spy x Family for anime polls!

Severance!!!!!

I would use the extra slot to increase the HxH Uploads. Its a long series and the way things are going its gonna take years to finish. so i would use it to add one or two extra HxH videos per week, since the episodes are only 20 minutes short it should be possible.

Hope to see a fight between Firefly and Severance :)

Chainsaw Man has a short 12 episode season.

Black Clover would be nice

Severance ! Or Barry !!

Severance is a great option!!

Severance 🙏🏼

Samurai Champloo

Gintama

Nichijou

Midnight Gospel

Maid-Sama! A comedy romance which I believe will be a new experience for you guys!!

Thanks for giving us the options! We appreciate it

MADOKA MAGICA!!! It’s short (12 eps) and so good you’ll LOVE IT

If a shorter show means Severance then I vote shorter. If a longer show means Barry then I vote longer :D

also, barry is amazing and noho hank is one of the funniest characters ever made, but i wouldn't say it's a long show. it only has like 30 eps of half an hour.

I don't know if this is too complicated or too much to pick a show, but if you make a longer show poll and a shorter show poll then took the two winners of those polls and put them into one poll to decide which one to watch, I feel like that would be best. Just a suggestion though.

Firefly is what you gotta go with it's incredible

I like the format of having one short show. So many good shows with like 10 episodes. Have you seen the first season of true detective? I haven't seen anybody else talk about it. Any way keep up the good work! 😊

Watch some asian horror show

Ranking of Kings

Barry and Severance! Two shorter top picks for the channel. Severance in particular would be amazing

Good short shows I think you haven't seen yet: Fargo (S1), Severance, Firefly

Beef 10eps. Id like to see you guys watch something with some comedy in it

long show: Monster (anime)

Firefly

Animes: Shorter: Demon Slayer Longer: One Piece TV Show: Shorter: The Sandman Longer: Lucifer

Torn because my options would probably be Andor, a shorter show, or Barry, a "longer" show lmao

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

Mushoku Tensei

here's me again asking for midnight mass 😭😭 you loved hill house and you watched both hill house and bly manor, so midnight mass should be a must 🙏🏼

Please react to Demon Slayer, best animation ever you'll love it 🙏🏾 (for a longer show One Piece is GOD tier)

Depending on your definition of long, I would love a reaction to Hannibal. 3 seasons so not terribly long, and absolutely terrific throughout.

Why not both? Barry eps are so short and there are only 24 of them (excluding Season 4) you could do 2 eps at a time and it'd be the same as doing an hour-long show with 12 eps..

Longer show: Demon slayer

Spy x Family would be GREAT if you want short and anime, you'll want to binge it guaranteed! If not Barry is good too since they're only 30 mins!

Bojack Horseman and March comes in like a lion!

Longer show: One Piece

Code Geass is short 50 purfect episodes X)

I think Barry is great and it's timed perfectly with the final season going on right now

Short show: dororo (1 season, 20 minute eps 😊)

Long show: Castlevania (4 seasons, I wanna say about 30-35 episodes, but I believe they are like 40 min eps), To your eternity (40 eps, two seasons, 20 minute eps)

Enlightened (HBO) is 30 mins per episode, and 18 in total, plus it's pretty funny. You girls would like it.

Long show: Monster (anime) Short show: Steins Gate

I suggest The Bear. It's only one season with each episode being 30min, season 2 is coming out this year

Barry?? Holy shit please

I kinda want you guys to watch something that’s not exactly a masterpiece and is just wholesome & fun so I choose ‘Never Have I Ever’ which is a Netflix show.

Biased for Black Sails 😅

Longer show. Barry, Blacksail, or HAIKYUU!!!🏐

If you guys want comedy then maybe new girl or community

Barry!! Each episode is only 30 mins long and the fourth and final season is currently airing. It's perfect

The sandman is a great choice for you two

Just throwing out All Of Us Are Dead, it’s an incredible show and there’s a second season coming

Black Sails or Barry would be great. I'd prefer Black Sails first since a lot of channels are reacting to Barry at the moment.

I think it's better for the channel to run a new longer show once a week. I loved Mr Robot twice a week but most channels do once a week for good reasons. Also praying for Mad Men 🙏💖

No idea if you’ve watched it yet or not but I would highly recommend lucifer. It’s the type of show I think you guys would really enjoy.

Severance is a great short show. I think you guys will be enamored with it, definitely worth checking out and it's only 8 or 9 episodes

Firefly is such a fun show, and you'll fall in love with all the main characters. Sandman is very dark in comparison, but it's so unique, especially the first half and the bonus episode. Your choice should also depend on how much emotional budget you have left for the week😅

The last kingdom please!!

Another vote for Barry, it's a great show that's the right size for both episode length and amount of episodes available, and as people pointed out, the last season is currently airing, so by the time you catch up it will be over and you'll be able to finish it without having to wait for another season when you're caught up.

I don’t want to be that guy, but I don’t think Sandman was a great adaptation. It’s fine as a show by itself, but I’m going to be one of those people that recommends the original version over the adaptation.

I'd say shorter, however, I NEED MONSTER REACTIONS. 🙏

Can anyone root for SEVERENCE?

I like either BARRY 😮 😯 can't wait

Firefly and Sandman are great choices, and would love to see you guys react to Severance.

maybe Ranking of Kings? it’s a short anime with the best boi you’ll ever find in other show.

Barry would be great so I’ll go with that

Barry would be great! The episodes are shorter too.

I prefer shorter shows like ''midnight mass''

Succession please

If longer means Barry then definitely longer lol

Throwing The Promised Neverland season 1 out there, it's 12 eps

Considering you are already watching a few long running shows (HxH, The Wire, etc.) I would not be opposed to getting one of the shorter shows done in the meantime.

Sandman!!!!!

If it ends up being a short show, I’d hope for Midnight Mass to be on the poll. Sandman is great and I would not be disappointed if that won. If a long show is picked, I’ll start telling everyone in the comments why they should vote for Black Sails lol.

Barry would be a great option right now, the final season is currently airing, each episode is only a half hour, and each season is only 8 episodes each.

you should react to haikyuu i think you guys would absolutely love it. its so much fun and you two will love the characters

Midnight Gospel, Nichijou, Gintama, Samurai Champloo

Sandman would be right up your alley, I think!

Black Sails comments incoming. Edit: also please consider watching Midnight Mass, they're only 7 episodes

So black sails might get another chance to wing. I will be so happy if that’s true but I bet you please don’t put Sopranos level of popularity shows against it because it has ZERO chance against those.

Will you be willing to watch a korean series? IF SO PLEASE WATCH THE GLORY

Definitely Barry since the new season is currently airing
