Mr Robot 4x01 Full Reaction

So much happens in each episode and yet the series just flies by!

To answer your question about Portia, the rumour is that it came down to a pay dispute, according to the actress that played Darlene (Carly), Carly spoke carefully (she treaded her words very carefully) on a podcast about it here: https://mobile.twitter.com/harleysalicent/status/1179344560247525376 Then there was a news article that stated the following: "As Portia Doubleday explains it, she was a champion of the decision to kill Angela, saying it felt true to the spirit of what she represented since the first episode of Mr. Robot. Ahead, Doubleday speaks with THR about bringing her time with the USA Network thriller to such an abrupt and shocking end." - you can read more about it here: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/mr-robot-final-season-premiere-explained-portia-doubleday-angela-twist-1245693/ Then there's the element of Rami and Portia actually dating IRL / breaking up, that became a "social issue" on set according to other sources. However, she still continued to work on the show despite her characters death, so it wasn't a total departure. At the end of the day though, according to Portia - she had full control over her character's death and how it was going to be done / when it was going to be done, she then goes on to praise Sam for giving her permission to choose that path. In terms of Portia's acting career, it's essentially over, she has decided to pursue a full course in neurology and she's been seen on university campus studying this particular field. She made enough money from Mr. Robot to follow her actual dreams, so the actress in a way is still the leading decision maker in her own life / is now doing what she loves.
