Which one would you rather your son jump with - Sobel or Winters?
can't wait to watch this, heard so much good stuff about this show, never found a reason to watch. Can't wait, although I guess can't read comments now lol
I can only speak for myself, but I promise I won't spoil who wins the war in the end 馃檹
Sobol is a bully, as the show portrays him at least. I think you鈥檙e exactly right that he was jealous of the respect Winters or anyone else got because the only way he knew how to lead was fear and punishment. I鈥檓 not convinced that was a better way to train the men (being so harsh) but he鈥檇 absolutely be a terrible leader in actual combat.
was waiting for the full and it turns out my copy in hbo max and yours have a different speed. Will have to download and see if those match the speed of your copy. Will watch the edited I guess.
Hmmm. Same here man. I'm watching mine on Disney Plus here and the speed is different too.
It鈥檚 pretty accurate, as much as a show can be. The characters are actual people (though sometimes they do combine what a few people did/alter things a bit to show something important without bringing in more characters than you can follow). I think it does a pretty good job of weaving between some very dark/heavy parts balanced with some lighter more optimistic parts/episodes. And as you go on, the show explores a lot of the psychological effects you brought up that they would have to deal with.
Woohoo so excited to have an excuse to rewatch this show in full. Been too long!
