time to replace the expanse with a new longer show. these shows were heavily requested for years. starting next week vinland saga is gonna replace fmab and we'll also add another short live action show

Ah and now I'm seeing this. I saw the poll as a non-patron but couldn't see the options, so I was like "There's no way Mr Robot is on there, and if it is there's no way it will win". Now it's not surprising because it's up against shows that are somehow just as, if not more underrated than it. Black Sails is great, I hope you get around to it eventually. But oh man am I glad Mr Robot is actually happening. Let me know if you struggle to find it anywhere, especially since I know you two like your subtitles
Demon slayer (Anime) & Legend of Vox Machina (Animation) are both a lot of fun,
Vinland Saga has (imo) the most solid first season of any show I've seen. Perfection all the way through, very happy that you will watch it!

Vinland saga? Damn, its okay, just not something I super super care about. Was hoping for something like jujutsu kaisen, edgerunners (short and phenomenal), and I know you guys said you dont really care about MHA because of you dont like super hero stuff, but I dont either and MHA is still super fun. Man, I know theyd love Deku and Bakugou. I REALLY hope you guys give it a chance. You have my word youd love it. But honestly what I want the most is jujutsu Kaisen. It has so much heart and still reigns as my favorite shonen since its come out. Then edgerunners, mha, and more. Hope after vinland saga there can be a spot for any of these. In the end do what you want to do, but as someone whos been watching you since ATLA days. I genuinely know youll love any of those shows, from the bottom of my heart Love you guys :)
If you're searching for a short live action show, The Sandman is very unique. And it has been announced that Netflix will produce a second season.
Mr. Robot still has a strong lead, but I'm glad Black Sails has pulled up into a tie with The Last Kingdom. Gives me hope for Black Sails getting chosen next time, since it beating Mr. Robot is fairly unlikely at this point.
Yeah, Mr. Robot will bend your brains and you will not be the same after watching this TV series. Seriously.
It was just announced that the Last of Us HBO show will air on January 15th. I really hope you guys will react to it when it does. The videogame it is based on is my favorite story of all time. A beautiful & emotional rollercoaster.

Hunter x Hunter and Steins Gate are basically rites of passages for every anime reaction channel, and both are permanent entries in the top 10 rated animes on MAL. I hope you'll consider them soon
Ping Pong the Animation is one of the most complete and well written stories with unique hand drawn animation that mirrors the manga style and it's #77 on MAL. Samurai Champloo #119? The top shows on MAL are more popularity than a well written completed story, just look at Bleach at #3.

I dont know why people want HxH... Its legit 148 eps.. I would like them to actual watch something that's just as good but way shorter 🤷🏽♂️Plus HxH got some boring arcs imo. Would prefer a lot more shorter interesting anime that would always have their attention with each and every ep.
Hoping for Mr. Robot! Definitely one of the more underrated shows in recent history and it has one of the best final seasons ever.

HXH they said at one point, but because it’s so long. Personally I don’t want them to because it’s never going to be finished and it’s just 160+ episode investment in a show that won’t pay off in the end
All 3 are great shows, and as much as I wish for Black Sails to win this time, it just gives me happiness that it will be gotten around to after the other 2. I’m here for reactions to all 3 shows over the next however long it takes lol
Surprised Mr Robot is so far ahead, I feel the show starts off well but drops in quality quite a bit, and tries too hard to be surreal and intellectual. Its also not a good "reaction" show, and its a pretty miserable watch overall. Not sure why we're subjecting the girls to it. Where can we recommend shows for future polls? If we're going back to older series we might as well recommend true classics like The Wire and Mad Men. Also, Black Sails is actually phenomenal with a host of truly grey characters with unique motivations that takes a classic and expands it beautifully, with some epic reaction moments.
I'm glad Black Sails is climbing in the poll, though it seems clear Mr Robot will win (I guess it depends on how long the poll is open for, who knows what will happen). But yeah, Black Sails is great, and ever since I started watching LM's reactions I've hoped that they would do it someday.

here’s a suggestion: Westworld 🤠🤖 another HBO banger with incredible cast, story, Ramin Djawadi from GoT doing the music. you should watch the pilot episode & see how you like

Although I really would recommend Mr Robot, I would start with The Last Kingdom cause it has a faster pace and you coming from Vikings would really dig it and know some of the history
For live action, I'm gonna recommend For All Mankind with Joel Kinnaman again. It has great characters and story. Worth a spot on another poll I think.

I’m really hoping Black Sails ends up pulling ahead. It’s a great show and I know the discussions you both would have would be so so good. With the way the poll looks now I’m not too optimistic, but it has only been up for a few hours.
Yep, for me it's a thing between Mr. Robot and Black Sails. Mr. Robot would have great social criticism, a lot against American capitalism, to which their discussions would be interesting to hear.
maybe theyve already seen it but The Bear on hulu is a great short show. 8 episode character focused drama about found family in a kitchen staff. after bcs ended its just what i needed!

Steins;Gate or Code Geass? For a non live action
Steins Gate has aged terribly in my opinion and my rewatch a few months ago not only knocked it out of my top 20, it actually landed in my Worst 20 of all time. Since they already had problems with Misa (understandably, in my opinion the problems with Misa are even worse), Steins Gate would not appeal to them. Code Geass has a similar problem of aged poorly, not nearly as bad as Steins Gate, but the plot is so damn similar to Attack on Titan that I would rather push a reaction to Code Geass 1-2 years after Attack on Titan. But we also have until January to figure out what they might look at after Mob Psycho. I'm still hoping for Spy x Family (25 episodes by January, half a year of content if they watch one episode a week, which will be really hard with Anya). Violet Evergarden, Haikyuu, Erased, Odd Taxi, Monster, Your Lie in April, ... also come to mind.
Black sails is so underrated, it has a rough first season but then the writing and characters and acting just skyrockets in season 2 through the end of the show, only getting better
I wouldn’t even say the first season is rough. There is just a ton of world building and groundwork that needed to be done for the story. Seasons 2-4 are as good as they are because of the fantastic groundwork S1 laid

Last kingdom all the way! One of the best shows I've watched in the last 10 years. Don't get me wrong Mr. Ribit good too but Def don't think as strong both overall and as a show to react too
Im gonna cry so hard if mr. Robot ends up winning. The girls are the perfect reactors for this show and it’s such an underrated masterpiece I’m glad it’s in 1st place as the time I’m writing this comment let’s hope it stays that way

I agree, but it's not a popular one so I guess it'll never end up winning polls. I admit the less I'm exited about is mr robot because I watched the first season when it was airing and I didn't enjoy it... I guess I'll have to give it a second chace because it's clearly winning this poll.
I cannot WAIT to watch Mr. Robot with you both! I watched the series alone as it originally aired and wished I had watched it with someone else because it's SO GOOD and there's SO MUCH to talk about! Hope it keeps the lead, but all 3 shows are absolute bangers, can't wait!!!
Also I haven't watched The Last Kingdom yet, it's been on my watchlist for years, but I heard both Aemond and Heleana's actors appear in that show and now I'm curious because both of them, specially Ewan, are doing an amazing job in House of the Dragon.
“Your lie in April” would also be nice to watch some time in the future it’s an incredible sad short 22 episode show, definitely your kind of anime show.

Mr Robot: A show about real hacking, no hollywood hacking. It has an amazing story, with even better cinematography (those one shot scenes are sooo good) One of my favorites ives seen, i sure you two will enjoy it (and cry a lot too lol)

Mr Robot is a must at some point. Think it would fit your taste. Would also recommend Deadwood. It is an older show so not many bring it up. Great characters in that one.
