Girls if you want an anime with beautifully written characters where even the villains are people you feel emotional for I cannot recommend Ranking of Kings enough. It’s like a GoT/LotR hybrid, but with a mute/dead protagonist that would make your heart melt (as well as every other character)

This was the episode I was most eager to see you react to. The way Al sacrifices himself to give Ed his arm back always gets me. I've seen that scene at least 20 times, and it makes me cry ever single time.

"I wanted the chance to have friends like these..." is such a cheesy line, but this show fucking earned it! The first time I heard Greed said it, I burst out crying too. "My name is Greed, and I want to be your friend!" - Greed's first line (talking to Al).

Can't believe we only have two episodes left 😭😭😭 when lola always said that she wasn't sure how but she was convinced mei would be crucial in the final fight she didn't know how right she was. not only did she save hawkeye's life and save everyone's ass in the father's place after the sacrifice but al wouldn't have been able to give up his soul in exchange for ed's body had mei not been there. i am so proud of her and of couse of my boys. all three are the bravest children and i'd kill for them. also the part of hohenheim shielding both izumi and ed always make me emotional as fuck. if you're crying this hard right now i cannot imagine what the next two episodes will be. by the way, since i'm pretty sure you're starting vinland saga after fmab i think you'd like to know season two will be premiering january 9th, so just like with mob you will be right on time.

I think this episode is the one that really hammers home what the Truth is. It's a purely transactional being, although, it seems a little sadistic. Of course the others all gave up something to be much better at alchemy, but this is really the first time that we can see a tangible exchange happening in the other direction.

Al was in the background the last few episodes without much to say or do but this return episode is him being an absolute Prince non-stop

These girls are gonna be so dehydrated from all their crying after the last episode I can only imagine. It was an excellent and a poor decision to watch these last episodes back to back.

“I’m not gonna cry anymore” - famous last words.. this episode makes makes me sob every time now matter how many times I watch it
