The Expanse 4x08 Reaction

Great reaction girls. Asfhford definitely got on the list of my fave characters (topped by Amos and Bobby). Keep up the fantastic reactions.

1 - Naomi 2 - Drummer 3 - Amos 4 - Bobbi 5 - Crisjen 6 - Holden I've seen the whole show though so maybe your list will change as the show goes on.

Definitely a touching moment with Drummer & Ashford really got me too. More than the authors, it felt like Ashford burying himself. He's lived his whole life on the edge of death, from his pirate days as the "Ghost Knife," to the teetering moments inside the ring, but this is different. Before, he was just surviving and doing some good for "his people" when he could. Now, he's running headlong towards Marco, an idealistic paranoid psychopath with a cult following. He's seen enough to know that close enough to kill Marco is too close to survive. To me, this this moment said: "I've got nothing left, but one mission. I cannot drink until it is done. I may will not live, I may not succeed, so keep this that you may still celebrate." He has fully surrendered to the cause, and Marco is now his one and only goal. Survival only matters once his work is done.

When you get emotional Lola, so do I, just cannot help it. Its because we truly fall in love with these amazing characters. Such a well written show. Its gratifying to see new people fall in love just as hard as we all already have!!

This show is so well-written that every time a character acts just like themselves I either laugh or cry. I've really enjoyed watching you two get attached to all the different characters in the same way.

Its nice to see some love for Holden. Like you guys, I think S4 is also when I started really liking Holden as a character. In particular, it really made me appreciate Steven Strait's performance and what's he brought to the role since the beginning. I think this is particularly noticeable on rewatches. Personally, I often find the Captain archetypes in science fiction pretty boring and I remember dismissing Holden as that at first during S1. But he completely won me over, and he's most likely in my top 5 overall characters as well. I think he's consistently been the most underrated aspect of the series. And that's something I never thought I'd say back when first watching S1. Although, frankly I feel like there's about 15 characters I could place in my personal top 5.

Trying to pick favorite characters on this show is almost an impossible task, thanks to the amazing character arcs the writers have created, and the great performances by the actors. It doesn’t get any easier in the next two seasons, either.

so no FMAB today :( :(
